Looking to gauge where you all think we're at coming into Round 11, and facing a rough run of fixtures. The Pies' next 7 weeks is season defining. Goes without saying that we're going to lose some games, and possibly lose a couple hard. We've got the following games in the next 7 weeks:

GWS @ MCG
BYE
Fremantle @ Domain Stadium
Hawthorn @ MCG
Port Adelaide @ Adelaide Oval
West Coast @ Etihad
Western Bulldogs @ Etihad

Which of these do we feasibly win? After today's somewhat flat performance you'd certainly not say that GWS is a given, and then Freo, Hawks, Port and West Coast on the trot could easily see us 0-5 in 6 weeks. I've included the Dogs because considering their form and who they've beaten, it's absolutely no given that we'll get up against them.

Over the next month we'll hopefully get Greenwood and Reid back, which would be huge. Barring any injuries we might have a full squad after the bye.

I'm hoping the break after the GWS game gives us a little boost for Freo, but we are definitely about to be tested - and I for one am excited to see what emerges out of what I think is going to be nearly 2 months of brutally difficult games. Either way they'll be character defining, you can count on that.

Might be a rough patch for us and hopefully we as supporters accept that this is a young, developing list and don't turn on each other, the players and the coaching staff.

Side by side, fellow Pies.

I'll take any two wins and the rest not being blown out of the park, then reboot for the rest of the year.
Also no injuries.

I'd be happy with 2 out of the next 6, but 3 wins would set us up really well for the end of the year and finals.

Reminds me of same time last year against the Suns, from memory 8&3 then we lose the unloseable! Let's hope we get over GWS

GWS is going to be a very hard game

GWS game is far from unloseable. Their list is pretty incredible...

I think we can Beat Port and GWS and Eagles. Lose against Freo and Hawks and Dogs at Docklands

Port at Adelaide Oval will be a massive challenge.

GWS and Eagles in Melbourne we're a redhot chance. If we could manage to snag those 2 I would be over the moon.

Much will depend on how GWS travels and whether they're 'up for it'. They were smashed by 90 points at Subi by West Coast, but I don't think that's reflective of where both teams are at. I think it reflected an inability to travel or immaturity on the part of GWS and West Coast took advantage. Not saying that West Coast wouldn't have won, but they seemed to catch them at a good time.

Fremantle at Subi is the toughest away trip in the competition at the moment, however Richmond managed to achieve what a lot thought was the near impossible. Bearing this in mind, I don't think Lyon will be too displeased with the loss at this time of year, so I'd be happy to go over there and give a good account of ourselves.

Hawthorn are a strange proposition this year. Yesterday they notched back to back wins for the first time this year, however they look as though they're getting things together. The bye may be a good thing for the teams facing Hawthorn soon, as it may disrupt some of their momentum. Same as the Fremantle game, I'd be happy for us to give a good account of ourselves.

West Coast is a very winnable fixture, particularly here in Melbourne. It's a shame the game isn't being played at the G, as I think we'd have more of an advantage. I haven't seen their fixture, but West Coast will no doubt come under some serious fixturing pressure too, as the only team of note that I can recall them beating this season was Port in Adelaide. The rest of the games they have won they would've expected to win.

Port in Adelaide is a tough fixture as I think, much like Hawthorn, they would've been better to get early season than later. They seem to be building again and key to that is Wingaard, who dominated on the weekend. On their home deck they've been patchy but I expect them to perform much better in the second half of the season. Again I'd be happy if we gave a good account of ourselves given that it's away from home.

For the Dogs I feel it's a case of their players being young and immature and not being able to get themselves up for the 'routine' games, which would explain the losses against Melbourne and St Kilda and their wins against more fancied opposition. Again playing at Docklands isn't the greatest and I think we'd have a greater advantage at the G. Key to this game will likely be the ability of our mids to at least break even and our forwards to stretch their defence. Optimistic that we can get the 4 points, but it will need to be a 4 quarter effort without the 10 minute horror periods we've had this year

I don't see why we couldn't win 4 of them, GWS we can beat, especially at the G. Fremantle and Hawthorn I can't see us winning. Port are no where near as good as they were last year, West Coast are still iffy if you ask me and the dogs are a young side like us. Their best is really really good, but the gap between there best and worst like ours is way to big. No reason why we can't win them.

A more realistic target is 2-3, as long as we aren't blown out of the water that's all I care about atm.

I'd say 2 to 3 max.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the young kids go up against the best, even if we get flogged, there'll be handy lessons to learn.

Give Freo or Hawthorn a half head start like we did for North and Geelong, and they won't be very forgiving.

Just really hope that people don't start running around like chicken little if/when these top tier sides make a mess of us.

Chances are at least once we are going to be made to look pretty bloody ordinary. It goes with the territory of where we are.

I'm looking for good effort and young players stepping up. Any wins in this next 7 weeks will be a welcome bonus.

We will hopefully learn more about how our team is going to reach the next stage of its evolution in this period.

I would be disappointed if we don't win at least two. I think we can win 3. I'll be ecstatic with 4.

In saying that though I don't think many would be surprised if we don't win a game. Port and Freo are very tough away. We never beat Hawthorn. GWS is a genuine 50/50. West Coast are going very well. And the Bulldogs is at Etihad and they have dismantled better sides than us

I can put up with getting flogged once because we are a young side. But I hope we are at least competitive in any losses.

In other words I have predicted basically every possible option so I'll make a hard prediction of 2 wins.

Win 0? Will be disappointed but not surprised/angry, and it's very possible.

Win 4? Will be ecstatic and it's still very possible.

Would expect us to win around 2 and would be pretty happy with that.

This pretty much sums up my feelings.

I'd be disappointed if we lost them all, but not overwhelmingly shocked.

Winning 4 would effectively lock us in for finals, which would be unreal.

I think we'll beat GWS, West Coast and Western Bulldogs.

I wouldn't count us out against Fremantle since Richmond showed they can be beaten.

We could beat Port but Hawthorn just have our measure.

We'll win 2 at the very least and probably 4 at the most.

Without Sandi maybe but with him up against Grundy no chance.

Johnson out for the next 10 will hurt them more than if they lost Sandi imo. Their mids are good enough to shark any rucks' taps imo, if Grundy loses the hitouts but has an impact around the ground I'd be more than happy with that.

Their defensive stocks are really depleted, think we'll need to exploit that if we are to manage a massive upset.

If we can manage 3 wins then I think it would be a good result. I would like to think we can win 6-7 more games for the year which would see us playing finals. We are tracking better this year with injuries and some key players to return hopefully (Reid, Greenwood).:)

I guarantee people will do that IF we do get Whacked by the Top Sides;)

Agree - Hope we are Competitive in 5 or 6 of these Games

GWS @ MCG
BYE
Fremantle @ Domain Stadium
Hawthorn @ MCG
Port Adelaide @ Adelaide Oval
West Coast @ Etihad
Western Bulldogs @ Etihad

If we bring our best football, we should win the bolded ones and could take one of hawthorn or freo if we catch them on a bad day
