What makes klopp so incredible is the net spend in the past 5 season is well below that of city and united and nearly 50 million below that of chelsea's net spend.

Their net spend average per seasn over 5 seasons is 31m comparable to the likes of west ham, brighton and crystal place all within the 27 to 24 million dollar per season spend and 70 million less than the team they fell agonisigly short behind in the pursuit of that elusive league title city.

I would sound out Chris Scott. He may have landed on his feet at Geelong, but he sticks with the program of mixing big-bodied and hard running players with a physical attacking gameplan, supported by big strong KPPs. He is also happy to play additional talls where they can add to the side.

Do we also think we'll sack a coach during our 150th year?
We did during our 140th.

The big celebration will be between May 13th and 24th the actual anniversary date. After that date we are into our 151st year.

The smashing against Richmond when we celebrated 140th and inviting 1,000 people or so to the opening of the new player facility after the game, was significant in Choco getting the arse 5 weeks later.

He would be a good choice but doubt he would come here. Clarkson would be be my first choice and Buckley my second, that's if we don't stay internal with Schofield or Monty.
The last thing I would want is Voss or Bassett.

How much do we read into the Suns success being down to Stuart Dew?

They have elite juniors but an average list overall. Their facilities are poor. They’ve had a huge investment in coaching and welfare.

They have really out performed expectations thus far.

Guess I’m saying, how much of a loss will missing out on Dew be?

Even signing a specialist forwards coach

I'm calling it now that 2020 will be 2010v2.

Anniversary year :whitecheck:
Club performing poorly for a few years :whitecheck:
Sacked coach

They won’t sack him (hope so, just don’t see it) anything that happens this year will be excused by “injuries” then with the last year apparently performance based they’ll just let it come to an end end of next year, maybe when it’s inevitably year over 2,3,4 weeks from the end of the year they’ll tell him he isn’t getting his last year, he steps down Voss/Bass/Schofield take over as interim coach for the remainder of the year. (Hopefully not the first two)

You think Clarkson or Buckley would come here more so than Scott?

Have you seen their facilities? They got full access to $40m+ facilities built for the Commonwealth Games plus a full sized oval next to the stadium. They are better than Alberton and West Lakes. I was up on the GC in 2017 after the China game and got a tour as it was opened up for members for the first time and my sister and brother in law are members.

The only thing they don't have is a social venue, as they have a partnership with the Southport Sharks and do functions there.

Too early to say. They have new facilities now don’t they?
Plus could be new coach syndrome?
Kenny seemed like the saviour in his second year too.

Injuries combined with 'It's an even competition' and 'little battler club' are all designed to lower our expectations that anything above bottom 4 is a success this year. With injuries not mentioned next year (if we get a reasonable run), for why we've improved our ladder position, making out it's all Ken.

You can read how the club is playing the fan base from a mile away. I wonder if anyone from the club actually went around the outer at the Showdown and saw on all the faces that s**t isn't flying, it's just making it worse.

No i don't think many Vic coaches would want to come here but if we were to feel out some potential coaches, that would be the order of preference for me. if we were to look internal I wouldn't mind Schofield, Montgomery or even Francou.

All well and good bit it’s the reporters asking and commenting on injuries, not the club.
They’re not an excuse but can’t be totally denied as a reason.
Not many clubs have a best 22 that bats to 32 or more.

Injuries have played a part in a couple of games, Showdown in particular but it shouldn't make structures and game plans go out the window. We have shown very little as far as a structured forward line goes, with or without some name players.
