You can take Bassett. His slow, defensive, mauling style is not one I'm a fan of.

Will get you some wins and up the ladder but like Rossy, will struggle to win flags or admirers with that garbage.

IMO Ratten is your best choice, just not great optics.

One of my employees plays footy with Hamish McIntosh and Spud Firrito

I've asked to him to quiz McIntosh on wtf is going on at the club.
What influence does Barker have, does he any incriminating photo's etc
I've also asked him to find out their thoughts on B Scott.

Anyone else got any q's...i'll get him to bombard them!
Yeh what’s he done to improve the club!

It's astonishing to read people think David Teague could take over as interim or even as permanent senior coach. Our worst structure/line is the forwardline which he is in control of. Absolute madness. In a perfect world he would be the first one on the block.
And yet at Adelaide he was one of the main reasons the 2017 crows forward line was the highest scoring in the league and our club has suffered since he has left as we are now very disjointed in the forward half. If he is part of a purge if the coaching staff change, I would happily have him back at the crows

Teague is very good tactically. What about Scott Camporeale? He did well as interim coach after Phil Walsh died and he's an ex Blue boy.
Also ex Essondon which rules him out.

Club is between a rock and a hard place regarding the coach issue. On the one hand mounting evidence that Bolton may be losing the players and on the other hand the real danger of making a bad call on a replacement half way through the year and all that goes with that...

Pretty obvious to me that Bolton as an apprentice coach was looking fine when Craig was with him and Bolton had the opportunity to be counselled by a seriously experienced coach and things went pear shaped (increasingly) after Bolton lost the positive input of Craig.

Lots of evidence to suggest that the rebuild needs a reset - for mine (fwiw) the best solution would be to get a senior experienced coach in to 'help' Bolton and then to proceed to an orderly end of year formal review - just like Richmond/Collingwood etc have gone through in recent times. We need a circuit breaker - and part of that might be a sacrificial token immediately eg Barker replaced by someone with credentials.

All easy to say - just like 'sack everyone' is easy to say...harder to get the right infrastructure in. Carlton needs someone whose reputation is unimpeachable to step in and deliver some oxygen and experience - more than a volcanic eruption. Stability is very important - keeping your head when everyone else has lost theirs is more important than fanciful reaches mid season or cutting a coach's head off - Carlton doesn't need that and supporters don't deserve that.

Roos as Bolton's senior partner is probably the best I can think of - he would have the pull to also beef up the coaching panel at Carlton.

Wasn’t MLG on the board when Ratts was sacked? Wouldn’t lose any respect for Ratts if we approached him and he knocked us back. He was treated poorly.
Clarko please. He helped build that list that became the greatest of the modern era. It want just there for him. They were battling when he took over.

Pretty sure Sticks was Pres at the time Ratts was sacked.

MLo came on board as Pres in 2014.

Don't you love a grave being dug before a death

That's just not right Arr0w
Not sure anyone is enjoying this, but what are we to do? Pretend? More pretending?
Of course there will be noise around the coach today. Why shouldn't people discuss?

It won't be Clarkson if it is to go down.
From what I hear, Roos very, very unlikely.
Club has been talking to prospective coaches. How do we ignore what's happening? Stick our heads in the sand?

Give Arrow the reigns and before long we'll have Barker as a senior assistant and Bolton signed till 2030!

Thank god the club doesn't read our resident "expert" posts and subscribe to them.

I would love to find the sack Hardwick and Buckley threads

Completely different and you know it. I've backed Bolts since day one, bought into the message and everything. However, something's changed at the club and his position has become untenable unfortunately.

Hey barass70, is there any chance the club would entertain having Sam Docherty coach the remaining games whilst looking for a new coach (if Bolton steps down)? He's loved at the club, voted captain by his peers and in his second year of assisting. Spirit would get to an all time high if he was given the reigns for 10 games. It would be a bold move, but the players would lift along with a huge buzz from the club's supporters.

Bolton needs senior coaching support - someone senior and respected enough to slap some of his stoopid ideas into the rubbish bin or this isn't working change it up NOW. Carlton needs less coaching and more simple - much more simple. Bye is a good chance to reset but players need to be carefully re-calibrated.

I'm not for sacking at this stage of the year- that would be likely be a disaster.

yes players have lost confidence.

I'll choose your comment only as an example don't get upset - but Arr0w has copped a lot for being sensible on here - direct your anger at some form of rational thinking. No one is happy to see the lack of progress at the Club - no one on here - the club has to analyse what the issue(s) are and work through them - that is the real challenge.

Personally i think Bolton needs help - that can be organized in all sorts of ways.
