I’d like to give Rawlings a go as caretaker. As early as possible hopefully, while the season is young.

Graham strikes me as being almost identical in personality to Jlo.

I've not met Rawlings but he seems to have more of the mongrel edge we need.

We're not doing **** with a caretaker coach. And worst case scenario is they do a decent job then get hired when there are clearly better candidates. Remember the Teague-Train?

I'd give JL to the bye and then can his ass if we're not in the top 4 mix and have actually beaten some top 4 sides.

I’d also see if Simpson wants to come on board , in some sort of capacity be it assist coach or football program related

This club desperately needs some experienced heads to guide it back on track

Different sport I know but picking up someone like Simpson/Longmire who don't seem to have passion for the game by throwing money at them gives me shades of Monty Williams at Detroit.

Our list should be attractive to a lot of coaches.

Has an experienced coach ever done anything at a second club? Malthouse the only one I can think of. Lyon was close, but that was after stealing him when he was still wanted.

Flags seem to be won by assistant coaches who step up to the level. I would think the chances of Longmire, Beveridge, Hinkley, Simpson achieving success with us would be very slim.

I think we'd have to go through all the untried options and try to find the next Kingsley, Macrae, etc.
