Just wondering if we have any potential next Presidents of the RFC waiting in the wings. I know Crazy John before his passing flagged an interest in one day becoming President but besides him are there are any high profile or astute wealthy Tiger suporters who would be suitable for the role. I beleive Gary March has done an admirable job but sense some fresh blood at the top could be on the cards.

Wouldn't logically the Vice-president be in line?

DO we have one and who is he/she?

Gale. I don't know that he'd be interested in running the league, having fought it for much of his time as head of the AFLPA.

Your vice pres is Maurice O'Shannassy, seems alright. Don't know him but I've played cricket with his brother and nephew for years. Great family from what I've seen.

Rather have this bloke than Gale.

just went and googled him and he stacks up pretty well and has been vice for 5 years.

Gale too interested in himself and his career to "donate" time in a voluntary position like this.

Any thoughts?

I am not happy at all with the way March has handled things over the last 12 months ...

More leeks than the p1ss trough @ the "G" on grand final day .

The way the Miller saga unfolded last year and the inability to land thier football manager of choice , it has to be remembered ... the haste to sack Miller was due to the fact that we had to move quickly because other clubs were entering the same market . and in the end we ended up "settling" on a bloke internally who had never had a crack at the gig . Pelchen and Balme over-looked us ... was just a massive cluster-f..k .

The whole Wallace saga this year and our on-field fortunes ...

March should be in the gun ... i hope a lot of questions are being asked

I reserve my judgement on that eagerly, awaiting the next move, important to note that the circumstances you speak of are unraveling long range appointments made by the previous administration...For those decisions that have been within their scope , that is the longer term viablity of the football club, they have performed beyond repute under the circumstances on a number of measures

What previous administration? March was a part of Casey's administration! He was on the Casey/Miller ticket VS Macek/Schwab.

You really know how to block out anything that happened more than a week ago dont you

Yes , they were long range appointments .. but its got nothing to with the way they have been handled now

If I was to produce a scorecard on Marchs terms pal

It would be

Foundations for long term viability of Club AAA+, under deplorable on field performance , profits have been realised and plans firmed to take Punt rd into the next stratosphere

On field....Long term appointments were already in place, choices were made to allow them to run their course , extend or alternatley terminate immediately.

Miller was terminated....Good decision...letting people go is never palatable..I see it all the time...The focus must be on the decision and it was CORRECT

So we couldn't land Neil Balme...err would you leave an environment where the team rarely loses a game to a team that rarely wins one...usually doesnt auger well for job security:rolleyes:

Meaning we were limited to source a freshman from outside footy circles or promote from within...right choice was made in CC

If we were to believe 25% of what has been reported in relation to TW 'then he himself is at the very root of where we find oursleves....Nothing to do with March that the inconsistency in selection, game plan that morphs from one direction to another...selective team discipline

in summary it would be flippant to direct your scorn at March on the back of a leak that Miller was to be sacked. Over what transpired in last 7 days , the board actually displayed some real solidarity, imagine if they had of reacted to players demands and said yep right lets sack him... I'm bloody grateful that the board has done such a commendable job that we have not been fitzroyed...It might be difficult for alot of mus to realise but turning things around onfield is a whole lot easier than turning around the viability of a club, ask James Brayshaw:rolleyes:

Well heres something interesting, Maurice O'Shannassy's brother Phil was VP for a fair few years at Knox Footy Club, and is now pres. Might run in the family.

you deal f..k all with the issues raised and are merely telling us your spin on things .

Answer this question in its singular form .

We sacked Miller ... and the reason given was that we needed someone more contemporary ... other clubs were in the market and we had to act quickly ... We ended up going internal and appointing Craig Cameron

Did we do this because people were sniffing around Camerons door ? ... of course not ... we sacked Greg Miller because we had the likes of Balme and Pelchen in our sights and we wanted to fire the first shot ... which ended up richocheting of a rock and smacking us right back in the face because all the people we were supposedly courting were not interested ... hence us ending up with spoof all over our faces for the ridiculous timing if Millers sacking .

So ... do you think this was handled well by the club at the time ?
