Campo has tenure, same as Clarke. Chappy, Fages, Smart - whole band of them.

There’s no accountability whatsoever, and when disaster happens on field we are expert at motherhood statements, calming the masses, riding the storm, keeping the boat afloat.

Eventually people forget - and still buy memberships

Content with mediocrity. There's a few on here I could name who are quite content with being ok.

Whoever the next coach is he needs to be able to choose his own assistants and Chapman needs to be gone first.

Chapman isn't so much the issue. The issue is the process of appointing him. How did he get the job in the first place? Who made that decision? Let's face it, he's not going to get fired. But even if he quits, if it will be the same people going through the same process to appoint his successor, what makes you think the next guy would be any better?

Re the assistants, do we know that Pyke wasn't allowed to choose his own? Or was it a case of the people he wanted not being willing to move here, so Campo, Clarke etc actually ended up being the best options available?

We know each coach we've had has brought their own and none stayed.... Pyke included in that.

Unless you can find a personality big enough and authoritative enough to change the club culture then this revolving door will achieve nothing.
It's likely they'd be sacked anyway for non conformance

Correct - no change agents since Blight. Clarko, Thomson, Hardwick- change agents that pulled those teams apart and rebuilt them into successful clubs.

PG and Campo slowly but surely dragging Pyke to the edge of the cliff

Ironically the incredibly loyal, long suffering supporterbase is doing more harm than good to this club his unconditional loyalty. The only time we will see genuine change is when our crowd numbers consistently drop below the mid 30's.

We need our next coach to be someone who has never been incontact with the AFC... Forget Bassett, Teague ETC and Roo better f*** off if he think he will bring Goodwin it. I want a coach that has a mean streak, that will break a phone in the coaches box, scream and shout and carry on.. a super competitve coach and a coach that can give a good spray. sick of these soft placid types like sando and Pyke.
The problem is Pyke is a hardass, the players complained and told him he had to lighten up.

Pyke has attempted to bring in Justin Longmiur in when Pods left. We didn't want to pay his asking price and gave him Ben Hart instead. Tried to bring in Peter Sumich in the role Campo now has, that was a no go too.

The rest I agree with, but was it Hardwick?
I thought they had a review just before 17 that got rid of the deadwood?
