Our finals formline is irrelevant - West Coast lost 3 straight elimination finals 02-04 before making the GF in 05 and winning the flag in 06.
Our game plan actually holds up in finals. Finals are virtually never shoot outs. Our trouble is, we aren't playing real finals. We're playing elimination finals, and without any statistical evidence, I reckon they are the most likely to have both teams go over 100. 'Real' finals are usually slogs, and that's the way we tend to play best. So, what we need to do is break into the top 4 (and guys, we're currently 1 game off the top, don't think about how we're playing, our reserves are doing alright), then our game plan should work well. I also reckon a QF would ease the external pressure and we'd be more likely to actually turn up to play.

On that, I'd say the window is opening this year and will be fully open next year. Not sure how long it will be open for, but at least 2 years.

Regardless of the rest of what you've said you just simply cannot say this.

More people think I'm a flog than want to sack dimma.
In your defence apparently Richmond's finals form line is irrelevant - West Coast lost 3 straight elimination finals 02-04 before making the GF in 05 and winning the flag in 06. So therefor obviously if history has shown us anything Richmond will play off in 2 Grand Finals and win the second of the two over the next two seasons. So it makes sense to stick fat and continue to go hard with the Wick.

I think its easy to get negative on the first two performances. They have been totally underwhelming. Thd conpetition however is so even that when you lose players such as lids, sheds, maric and couple that with the unavailabilty of two running defenders in conca and yarran its unlikely many sides in the comp would play premiership window football. Our best side is capable of going deep. Anyone who cant see that has a very short memory. No doubt we do need to recruit a ruckman and we need to land an a grade mid. Bring in the a grade mid and we are cherry ripe for an assault. As it is this year will be beneficial no matter the outcome if menadue, ellis, lennon, astbury and a small forward such as short or rioli can become bonafide players at the level and mcintosh can take the next step. The last two games our bottom 4 or 5 players have been putrid. Add the missing guns and couple that with the improvememt of above mentioned younger players and we are on our way.

Yeah, I can. Your game plan goes out the window when your best 6 players don't rock up.
6 best don't rock up, or we've got a game plan that allows them to be blanketed.

Anyway, Hawks looked pretty good on the weekend. Only missing how many from last year's flag side?

Weren't we Geelong last year, and Hawthorn the year before. I lose track of these things.

You forgot to mention that our reserves are doing well 100 point loss against a bunch of drug cheats
