Questions I would like answered at the forum

Q1, If the standards were so low in the first years as seemed to of been confirmed by ex players (Brown) and current (JOM) why was this not recognised and dealt with immediately.

Q2, if sub standard commitment is accepted in the playing group by the football dept and the board why should commitment been shown by the members?

Q3, what was the point of giving up pick 3 and 10 in the last draft for 6 and (currently) 10 this year. Both picks will now be lost to secure the required points for Bowes, points that could of been from 2nd round picks.

Q4, why did the club paint itself into a corner by stating that Harley WILL be traded, leaving no room to manoeuvre and proving a poor outcome

Q3, Originally I liked the idea of getting Demons pick in 2017 draft but now I'm thinking what was the strategy behind this given Bowes was a top prospect. Now those picks are almost useless to us - could of had Oliver and Ah Chee this year.

Still a lot of water to go under the bridge ... but prepared to bet Bowes won't go number one - and Melbourne won't make the eight . But we coould have two Academy players selected in the first round - so the Melbourne pick will be helpful in that regard. Think bids will come early on both our players so we can't pinch a 'better' Victorian ......

While I agree with what you're saying, I'm a dinky di Queenslander, born and bred, and let me tell ya, there's no such thing as a 'better' Victorian......

There's only two states to be in.......................Queensland OR pissed.....

I think the answer to 4 was that the club couldn't keep allowing his behavior to continue especially after saying he was on a last chance. The club would have looked really poor if they didn't say he was 'fired' after the last incident.

Even if Bowes goes the immediate pick before ours points have to come from the Demons pick to make up the difference so it will drop down the order. At the moment this swap decision looks stupid.

The only out is for us to swap it for a player but even then we would of done better last year pick looks like being around 10 but gave up 3 for 6. In fact we likely could of have Oliver at 3 and Achee at 10 last year plus pick up Bowes and Sheer this year without wasting the demons pick. I know I am ranting but ATM this is just a * up, I hope Clayton has something up his sleeve that we can't see

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, and thats why I think we will shop our very 1st pick out for an established player, saves having to overpay with the bidding system.

Question for GCFC Management.

- Why do we have to use NMFC medical staff instead of our own for David Swallow? It's been reported and quoted by Ashcroft. Do we not have an adequate medical/doctor team? What is being done about this?

Makes me think the worst

Dave has had enough and doesn't want to stay

Maybe Jaegers the same..

Anyone who doesn't think the AFL will or should continue with the club , clearly doesn't watch enough Suns games. Our crowd numbers are relatively good, the community (kids especially) support the club and afl is growing on the Gold Coast.

I think the answer and it won't be overly popular in Victoria, is list or cap concessions because the team needs success quickly. I don't think we deserve it, as the club is much to blame but it wouldn't surprise me if we get some form of concessions.

The reasoning behind this is we have to overpay to get players to play at the club. Mal, Dixon and Howe are all examples of this.

So my question Tuesday will be does the club intend to ask the AFL for assistance or do they trust in the direction of the club.

I don't understand the concern here. We can't possibly have the best medical experts for all injury types. My doctor is excellent but even he will refer me to a specialist for certain matters. We sent Jaeger overseas to the world's best but sending David to North's crew is David not happy with our Docs? If anything North are to be commended for allowing us access to their experts.

Jaeger was a freak injury unheard of in AFL, only 1 other case in Chris Knights I think it was from Richmond.
David has had normal knee injuries, if there is such a thing.

From a fan engagement point of view, I would have loved to hear periodically how our marquee players are going seeing we've barely seen them for 2 years as well. I realise it's a struggle through rehab (physically and mentally), but an update to members/fans on how some of best players are going would be great. Not from Ashcroft or other footy staff, but from Jaeger and David separately would be sweet :)

Sorry to derail there...
