LOL - I saw the thread name & thought........hmmm Carltons top 10 - we barely have a top 3 midfielders !

Thats a very impressive list, Corey Enright has been VERY good for you this year after appearing to be trade bait last year, just the type of depth you need to go places.

Its a shame Graham didnt stick around for 1 more year, your forward structure would be better with him, but hey, you cant control things out of your scope.

Best of luck for 05, If there is any footballing community deserving of some success it would be you guy's.............possibly the Dees as well, but they'll all be at Buller anyway so stuff'em. ;)

Ive had Joel Corey in my Dream team (not in it this year) - for the prior 4 years running.
I'd love him at Carlton, just knocks up possetions, has good skills, is tough & also has an attribute that you cant teach - leadership.
Corey & Ling are sensational in that aspect, Ling the obvious choice as your next captain.

Carlton could do a lot worse than being in a position to catch any of those fellas that fall through the net come contract renewal time.

I think a couple of years ago Bartell was linked (more likely chased by the baggers) & obviously the deal didnt happen.

There is a wealth of riches at your club & this year you hve shown the quality of an even list as opposed to St. Kilda - 6 or so standout stars & then a decline to the next level down.

God help the comp if you snared a Fevola with your midfield & defence.

Then again the WCE are in a very similar position.

You guys to fight it out on the last day (providing you end up on opposite sides of the finals draw).

Cheers,
F.W.

I'm basing mine on 2005 form

1.Corey
2.Enright
3.Ling
4.Kelly
5.Riccardi
6.Ablett
7.Bartel
8.Chapman
9.Byrnes
10.Wojcinski

i'd still have Bartel above Ablett, given that Bartel's form has only dropped in the last couple of weeks, and Ablett has been patchy all season. agree with the rest though.

In a recent thread Bartel V Kelly I had chosen Bartel over Kelly, how fortunes change!
1.Corey (by far our best midfielder, have to B&F favourite)
2.Enright (fantastic year - pity about injury)
3.Ling (always ranks highly)
4.Kelly (improving as season goes)
5.Chapman (playing more as forward but enjoys the in & unders of midfield)
6.Milburn (for his running of backline through midfield role - great year Top 3 in the B&F)
7.Ablett (needs to work abit on consistency - great game V Carlton)
8.Bartel (another who needs to work on consistency)
9.Byrnes (good year can only get better with alot of time in gym)
10.Wojcinski(would love to have him fit right now would probably be in top 5)

Whats going on with Koulo? Seeings we have had injuries, i thought he may have possibly got a run this year. If he was playing, does he have the skill to be in the top 10?
