I think a late second rounder would be more than enough. Port are delusional
I don’t understand how a 22 year old who’s only played 19 games and had 1 impressive game is worth that much?

Some perspective here:

Ollies numbers are only marginally better than Reefs, and that’s not even taking in to account the ridiculous amount of times Reef has been sub. Reef is a 50/50 delist this year because we (and every other club) are clearing space for this draft. Why would we then trade in basically a slightly taller version of Reef instead of backing our recruiters to draft someone better? It makes absolutely no sense and I’m honestly baffled that he’s being valued so highly.

I think Wil Parker is a big one - He was literally still playing cricket until the end of preseason last year, and still looked quite good at times.

I think his level of performance is one of the things they're counting on to be able to cover the loss of Noble at half back.
Allan has more upside then Parker for me

Except Lord is a tall who plays tall, and Reef is a flanker without a tank or weapons.

Things starting to look really promising for getting Perryman across. As has been said by others in the thread; if we lose Noble for a pick, get Perryman for cash and develop Parker in the meantime that could play out well for us.

I’m not as convinced by Lord if he’s out of favour at Port despite Dixon retiring… we wouldn’t want to overpay. But that also depends on who we can pick up for the position with our draft hand, and even the Condon situation.

I think Allan can be a A-Grader I see Parker at B+-B Grader
But you're talking about two complete different players and roles, so one has nothing to do with the other.
They both can be good players.

Thats like comparing de goey and jeremy howe lol

Add in the fact he was a late 3rd rounder. Has he done anything to suggest he was taken later than he should've been. From where I sit no.

All we been told that we asked about him and nothing more so far

Here we go with this tank thing again, played mid and halfback in the last few VFL games, never was gassed, just the truth.
Cool, he's a mid flanker type with zero weapons

I'm with you, I was being generous with a late second. He's not worth that

I don't think we get Lord. I think he stays for another year and see how he goes in 12 months. He's obviously had an injury plagued year.

I reckon Perryman, do the noble and maybe richards trade (if he chooses to leave) and maybe pick up a cheap key defender depth late in the piece.

..and a young kpf in the draft..🤞

Lord is not out of favour at Port where this year his impact was restricted by a broken leg where he's contracted long term as Dixons replacement.

It’s pretty straight forward Lord’s value is in the size and attack on the contest he has over Reef. You don’t have to be Mihocek or Murphy manic when you’re undersized, but it helps to have a bit of go about you which Reef has never shown at the top level.

IMO, it’s a fine line between Tristan Walker and Tom Hawkins with the man children types that come out of the NAB league unlike say Hogan who was blitzing the WAFL pre mini draft. At 23 in Rd 1 2025 Lord is one average season at Port from being flushed out the system so this feels like an opportunistic agent to me. I’d be looking at a 2 year deal with a trigger for a 3rd year and wouldn’t be giving much more than Richards.

Like them both

Parker is going to cover a lot of kms for the pies I feel in his career
That last game against admittedly a bad demons side was a sneak preview of the future for us
One's had 4 years in the system and the other barely one. Parker would be a safer bet as the better of the 2. It's time for Allan to show us what he's got

Allan’s had 2 years on the list? I agree it’s time for him to take a best 23 spot from someone, but he is only 20.

Its Allan's third year in 2025
But looking forward to see what Parker can do with a full pre-season, given he has never had one

He's got issues with second efforts. Like Johnson it's one shot and done. No idea if that is a fitness thing or a recovery thing or something else
