I thought some might find it interesteing who the main offenders were this year turning the ball over here are the results.

Travis Cloke 9.8 poss a game, 3.5 errors a game, for a disposal error every 2.8 possessions.
Richie Cole 10.9 poss a game, 2.9 errors, a disposal error every 3.7 poss.
Jason Cloke 12.4 poss a game, 3.1 errors, a disposal error every 4 poss.
Blake Caracella 12.4 poss a game, 2.7 errors, a disposal error every 4.5 poss.
Ben Davies 14.1 poss a game, 2.9 errors, a disposal error every 4.8 poss.

These are the main offenders and I'll point out Jason Cloke's number of
1%ers is ridiculously high. These stats also help to debunk a few myths. Had a gutful of supporters including some of our own that say Ben Johnson and Rhyce Shaw continually turn the ball over? The stats don't lie.

Ben Johnson 17.8 poss a game, 2 errors, a disposal error every 8.9 poss.
Ryhce Shaw 18.2 poss a game, 2.2 errors, a disposal error every 8.2 poss.
Nathan Buckley 21 poss a game, 2.9 errors, a disposal error every 7.2 poss.

Lets compare these stats with Lindsay Gilbee, a well known surgeon with the ball in his hands.
Gilbee 20.8 poss a game, 2.2 errors, a disposal error every 9.4 poss.

not surprised to see some of stats from the less skilled members of the team

did these stats include goalkicking errors ie: kicking a point? because Trav was good at doing that this year

Our overall team totals don't make for pretty reading, but team statistics always get skewed with key personal missing. Did anyone know how good Josh and Ant were at winning contested possession in the years before 2005? Bucks and Josh back on the ball in 06 will make a BIG difference to our clearances which were way down from previous years.

That's a little deceptive showing turnovers per posession.
If a player gets five touches and turns it over three (one every 1.66), he's not going to be as much of a liability as someone who gets it 25 times and turns it over 10 times (one every 2.5).
Fro example, Bucks and Davies have the same t/overs per game (2.9), so they are equally ineffective in that manner. (Negatively speaking, of course because Bucks has more posessions, he has more "effective" disposals, and is therefore overall more effective).
Rank everyone by turnovers per game average (while also giving turnovers per posession). That'd be interesting.

This was an exercise I did on another site, based on "clanger" stats. It gives a clanger per possession count:

From best to worse:

Rusling - 23
Wakelin - 14.33
Holland - 12
Burns - 11.81
Swan - 10.42
Lonie - 9.72
Maxwell - 9.69
Woewoedin - 9.65
Morrison - 9.55
Buckley - 8.91
Clement - 8.66
Iaccobucci - 8.25
Lockyer - 7.94
O'Bree - 7.87
Johnson - 7.66
O'Brien - 7.6
Licuria - 7.49
Davis - 7.33
Rowe - 6.88
R.Shaw - 6.57
Williams - 6.33
Richards - 6
Rocca - 5.87
Didak - 5.86
Davies - 5.84
H.Shaw - 5.58
J.Cloke - 5.46
Caracella - 5.23
Tarrant - 4.79
Egan - 4.71
Fraser - 4.55
Cole - 4.35
Lokan - 4.25
Prestigiacomo - 4.18
C.Cloke - 4.12
Fanning - 3.7
T.Cloke - 3.61
Hall - 3.00

And the winner is..You guessed it

The Big Texan. 1 Clanger every 2.5 disposals!!

The stats were provided by Lonie_From_50, so perhaps he could confirm where they originally came from and what is actually considered a "clanger"

Yeah, I think Trav's stats are a bit odd. Maybe they include kicking to a contest, as he bangs them in long from accross the middle.

I read somewhere that a clanger is when they they think the kicker/handballers teamate has more than a 50% chance of winning the ball.

Im presuming pieman got the error stats from prowess.

Pedro, A clanger is a stat given by Champion Data described as an unforced error including out on the full and frees against.

I'm bored, so I may aswell get the Collingwood stats up on here for everyone to look at.
