you are joking arn't you??????? He Can't play football at the highest level what so ever! It is not a question of position, its a question of football ability! And sorry to say he is a no tallent hack, he is another Aaron Hennerman! A trained baboon could have more effective possesions than this douche bag!!!
Does it seem like im joking? It is a question of his position, because when he plays in the right position (forward), he has the ability to demand the ball, mark well and provide a good contest, the only thing has to worry about is his goal kicking. Where as when he plays back, he doesn't have a clue what going on back there, he doesn't have the ability to spoil, get to the contest that often and make good correct disposal coming out of the backline. Some players play well up forward, some play well down back, Bradley plays well forward. He hasn't even been given the chance at AFL level to play forward since converting from a backman, so until he does, stop being so harsh on him. BTW, remember the game where he was played forward for a game and kicked 4 goals, has he not shown ability?

Think Bradley, Johns and maybe Lee would all come in this bracket, as I said before about Johns being similar to cloke both the west aust clubs would be interested in him, think that swans and crows would also be interested at right price with their forward line - swans need something to replace hall in couple years aswell. All the clubs which might show interest have lots of good quality mids. Eagles might give rosa for one of these with a 3rd round pick in there or anything. Trades will be done this season due to the skinny draft this season and I expect the broom to come through essendon.

Dyson, Hird, Campo, Cole, Bolton will all be gone
1 of Bradley/johns/lee will be gone
1 of mj/jj/pev will be gone (seeing as Jj has a contract would assume he is safe - done need that many of that type of player now that hislop and watson play similar roles
1 of monfries/lonergan might be in trouble (i know people wont like mentioning monfries but he has had an average year and would still attract interest)

That is 8 spots free on the list - Rama to be promoted and maybe hocking leaves 5 spots and 1 pre season pick. I feel that with the approach essendon will be taking is lets work for who will be here in 2009/2010 and will be part of it (unless something amazing happens over the next 9 weeks).

The above players i would like to see if we can trade for anything - hird and campo exceptions - might be able to package up something like mj and 3rd round for early 2nd round or similar picks/people.

Get off Monfrie's back , for god sake the kid is a good player. Every one hates him here and i dont know why.

Dyson wont go i really like him as a player. it is really stupid to get rid of guys with talent like monfries lonergan n dyson.

Disagree with johns getting delisted. Still got talent and room to improve

Big call - think you will find that everyone actually likes monfries and his hardness at the ball, just that he has shown no real improvement from his first game as an 18yo. When we saw that we expected to have a gun midfielder similar to wanga

Some people have to make way at seasons end that is the fact, I was just expresing what I thought will happen, everyone is entitled to an opinion and you have 1 also which deserves to be heard, this doesnt mean I have to agree with everything you say otherwise the discussion is over before it starts.

The saver for lonergan, monfries, dyson and a few others there is that it is a skinny draft this year and we wont trade for picks, we might trade to upgrade our picks. If you have a look at our structure you will see that these 3 are not real fast and we have heaps that can play their role, they also dont get 20+ possessions much (monfries has an excuse as to where he plays). We need a fast midfielder who is constructive with the ball not a run of the mill footballer. Dyson and monfries both came onto the scene with a bang but have been treading water ever since - 1 or 2 good games a season shouldnt cut it for a place on the list (bolton does this and everyone has been calling for his head for years)

Forget about MOnfries what has Johns done to deserve an almost certain de-listing (according to you guys). He is very very fast, is a very good mark and his kicking is becoming good. He can play forward and a quick halfback flanker. He is a very good player and should definitely stay on ou list, along with this he should get more game time!!!!!

I know that Matthew Knights has pretty high wraps on John's in the back line. He said on Bomber Radio that if Johns play 150 AFL games, it'd be in the back half. He said John's was very good there last week, took a couple of very good contested grabs against AFL standard competition, and was complimentary about his closing speed, ability to play against taller opponents, strength in contests, and providing drive out of defense. He said his biggest fault is selecting the right option out of defense - and that can only come with experience. If there were a delisting, I think Bradley would have to go before John's... while Bradley's got good height, he's got an awkward kicking style (so inconsistent disposal), which I don't see being ironed out.

This might be from left field but with all this talk about trading talls for midfielders, would anyone agree that we would be looking at picking Skipworth up from bendigo? I know he has been injured but was a handy player for the crows just not many chances due to their many mids!
