Considering the lack of big name players available in FA and how many clubs are cashed up and ready to grab someone, i find it very easy to believe Rocky will get offers pushing a million a year. FA get a premium, because clubs need to pay that lil bit extra to entice them away, and clubs are prepared to pay it because they get a high calibre player with no trade cost.
It is a free hit at getting talent onto your list, and if you have the cap space why not? This will be the money contract for Rocky, 3-4 years and he will probably earn more on it then nearly the rest of his career. Even for clubs not in the finals race like North, it makes sense to chase them. They have cap space to use, they can probably front load his contract and get him across without causing cap stress on signing young players.
