Just read that Corey has joined the "Presidents" $8,500 membership. I often question his abilities, but I clearly cannot question his loyalty. Full marks on that one Corey.

Yes - the same article indicated that he took a paycut last year as well. Pretty impressive stuff. Good article by Dermie Brereton on McKernan CIK.

I heard on 3AW this morning that Corey and Colbert offered to take a pay cut by admitting to poor performances, the club didn't accept their offers.

Sort of puts a spanner in the works for the "Colbert left for the money" argument by Cats fans, hey?

Full marks to you also CIK for praising him. Although I'm a new bigfooty member I can see your not his greatest fan.

Top stuff to the Roo "veterans" for leading the way. Love it!

PLEASE NOTE: When the Shermanator is not writing posts on this forum you can catch him cleaning a certain Rugby player's fingernails.

People say there is no loyalty in football. Well they haven't been to Arden Street lately. Hopefully the Kangaroos supporters who have yet to purchase their membership, will see the dedication to the club shown by the players and follow suit.

Conrats Corey. Hopefully CIK won't abuse you Friday night.

So you think Coldbutt is still not getting paid a fortune ?

BTW,he said when he left that he wanted to play in a Premiership team.
Maybe he should've gone to Essssssssssendon.

JJ, He'll still play in a Premiership winning team (2001), but he has learnt something just as great in his time at the Roos that they don't teach at Geelong... LOYALTY, HONOR, COMMITMENT.

I have no idea how much Colbert is getting paid, but when was the last time a Geelong player ever offered to take a pay cut? Remember Michael Mansfield? Or Greg Williams? Keep in mind, even if Colbert was getting paid $300,000 a year, if he's giving back 10%, that's still $30,000 back in the club coffers. The fact that the club turned down the offer indicates to me that maybe our financial position may not be as bad USC wishes it to be.

Oh, and a Geelong fan commenting on premierships! My God....that's just like Amanda Vanstone offering beauty advice....

Or as bad as MB getting stuck into our club about its finances, on the main board.

Here's hoping that Corey can get his form together on the field.

I never mentioned Geelong in the reference to Premierships.I was refering to Essendon winning last years.

Mansfield was useless, why else do you think he played a heap of games last year in the Carlton VFL side.

BTW,do you have a problem with Amanda Bigbones looks ?

She's gorgeous compared to Pauline Hanson and Bronwyn Bishop

I'm sure Martin Pike might disagree with you

He was a very good player for us, and it was a shame to see go, but some of his "incidents" last year showed a lack of honor and commitmnet to the Kangaroos, and to himself. Hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes, and finishes his career strongly with the Lions
