Which pension? I presume aged, but rules will vary for other pensions such as disability support pension.
In essence supplements will stop if out of the country for 6 weeks but base pension remain unchanged until 26 weeks.
Base pension may reduce if out of the country for 26 weeks (depending on the number of years resident pre-pension). But, yes, check with an accountant if you can afford one, or good luck trying to speak to someone from the department otherwise.
