Under you savages. If your toilet paper holder thing has a guard over the top of it then it tears the paper when you put a new roll on and try to pull.

Why would you need a guard over the paper??

I'm not sure what you'd call it but mine's something like this;

My mother was an under merchant, so growing up I remember being annoyed by over merchants.

Once I actually started doing it myself, however, I quickly realised that over is better. As riteo said, less likely to unspool.

Where is "dont care- either/or" option.

Never think about it tbh.

I have bigger issues at work re. toilet paper. In that it is one ply rather than two ply. Can be there for ****ing ages trying to get toilet paper cause it's always breaking off.

I grew up in an under house, but a lot of the time when I'm rolling out the TP, it just breaks off suddenly. Annoying as shit. Switched to over, no problems.

I find it depends on the brand of toilet paper and what ply it is. I myself used to be exclusive to one brand in particular but they changed their design so that even though it was 2 play... when using it, it felt like the fish and chip style toilet paper shopping centres use. So I switched to Quilton, feels just right and has the right amount of thickness that nothing escapes.
What does any of that have to do with over vs under?

Some "brands" toilet paper is different on the under side compared to the over side thus it would make a huge difference in whether you were an over or under person. There was an older Sorbent design where they had an imprinted pattern on one side of the toilet paper, use it the right side around and you'd feel nothing, use the opposite side and it was a little too rough to be used "down there" on the verge of being scratched.

bit off topic here but I was thinking the other day about all the lazy pricks that leave the empty roll on the holder and thought the amount you see it theres gotta be people walking around there with not completely wiped asses. You can't tell me that the end of the roll just happened to be the right amount every time

This is true. If you examine loo paper closely - it has differences between one side and the other. The top side is softer, and the best one to use in arse-proximity procedures.

So what this means is you need to examine your technique for ripping off a few sheets and applying your particular scrunch/fold methodology. The aim being to wind up with using the soft side in contact with your seat of learning. Depending on whether you use forehand or backhand, leggie or offie, either over or under may work.
