Can anyone recommend a hotel for 1 night? I'm going up to see the Swans pump Carlton next weekend and I'm looking up hotels.

I usually stay in the Mericon (or whatever it is called) in Haymarket opposite the Capital Theatre (i.e. Thai town and next to Chinatown). Nice part of the CBD if you like asian food. Palace hotel nearby is good for a beer too. Enjoy.

Anyhow, anything in the Surrey Hills or near Central Station should do the trick for you. Enjoy the game.

Yeah well I'm a Melbourne-based supporter. I stayed in Darlinghurst in the end, affordable and decent enough.

I would have suggested Darlinghurt, Kings X or Pyrmont. I tend to stay in Pyrmont these days, close to the casino, Darling Harbour and public transport.

Always stay at the Meriton, Kent St.

Skyview 1 Bedroom Apartment ftw.

Reasonably priced, nice walk up Oxford St. to the SCG.
