Really good macaroons are pretty good. They're like eating little clouds.

I think part of the reason they are so popular at the moment is because they're gluten free.
that and every fruit to ever wear an apron cooks them on masterchef....to the squeals of approval from the assembled cravat wearers.
Never seen so many quail eating food snobs assembled in one place.
I totally blame the arseclowns for revealing the long held secret of Lamb Shanks to the unwashed masses and pushing the prices from $2.50 kilo tothe current astronomical prices.
Hope their taste buds all shrivel up and their mayo splits....utter bastards.

Desserts in general. Like them but a good main meal>>>>>>>>> good dessert
Definitely.
Amazes me when I go out to a restaurant and see people eat an entree, main and dessert. Way too much for me.

Mexican food (aside from Nachos). The stuff is, more often than not, far too spicy for my liking and just tastes weird. Furthermore, there's a Mexican place just down the road from where I live and the food there is ****ing awful.

Some underrated foods IMO are shapes, fish & chip shop souvlakis/hamburgers, seafood, and Indian.

That's because a lot of restaurants take the attitude that most people will order either an entree or a main depending on how hungry they are. They're virtually standalone meals. I can't even eat a full main at my local pub.

The best thing about going to a really good restaurant is that they build their menu on the assumption that people are coming to eat three courses. They don't feel like they have to dump a pile of food on your plate so you don't feel ripped off.

Not mexican foods fault you have an immature palate.

Kind of agree on crustaceans being overrated. Lobster is alright but I can think of a lot of stuff I'd rather have for the price. Crab I have always found completely tasteless, it's just a vehicle for sauces.

i find crab to be among the most distinct flavoured seafood, got to be fresh though

Got to admit, I have always found Mexican food really boring. There's only so many things you can do with beans, rice and mince.

Well i can guarentee you that we wouldnt be very good dinner buddies :(

I'm picturing you wearing a cravat right now...

I love Mexican food more than anyone, but nachos are fricken bland. Just tastes like cheap plastic.

Give me Doritos any day

Angus..... proper Black Angus is good in steak form if its from a good farm ect.

this shit being passed off as some sort of "Angus" half breed in maccas, HJ's every other burger place is carp, not Angus and probably just as average as every other beef you buy without some loose breeding to make it some strain of "Angus".

even worse, good grain/grass free range beef is great doesnt have to be "Angus" just good and aged properly ect

Haha have you seen those angus 4/20 pies?

Ridiculous.

The key to prawns is to de-shell about ten of them before starting eating as it helps you to savour the meal you're about to have and to eat slower.

I only have shell-fish once a year, at Christmas time. I eat enough on that day to tide me over for another year. I have no idea how my dad packs away the prawns he eats at Christmas lunch, then backs up for dinner, and then goes in again on Boxing day. By Boxing day, I don't want to see a prawn for another year.

I think the main reason they are popular at the moment is because they have been flogged to death on cooking shows.
