Never wore a football jersey in public but own 3.

Never used to go to the footy in a jumper - except for my wool #39 at blues games - but did so in 2022. After covid just felt showing colours as something to do. Weird change.

One of my main problems with this ownership option.

Race/religion has nothing to do with why I want ENIC out.

They are evil corporate commercialism and greed yet because they're up against evil dictators that gets washed over as if they're angels.

This will be a massively unpopular opinion. And the fact of the matter is, as much as we all don't want whats happening in Qatar to be happening, it is. And it will be regardless of they own or sponsor club/event A or B.

Did we all abandon the WC like many claimed they would? Probably not.

Will we all abandon our clubs like we say we would? Probably not.

If they don't buy Tottenham it's not as if they will stop doing anything they've done and won't stop them buying/sponsoring something else.

If we really want to be social concious supporters we'd have arsenal support turn their nose at this squad due to Partey, or the club with corrupt Rwanda money. In fact spurs are about to embark on a similar corrupt sponsorship with visit south Africa. We'd all be Forrest Green supporting energy efficient vegans if we really held the link between social matters and club support, like we like to claim when we get up in outrage, because most of the millionaire/billionaires that own our clubs are grubs

Would stop supporting my club if the likes of the filthy oil pigs took it over.

And yes, there's a big difference between being a dodgy businessman and actually being brutal dictators of a whole nation. If you're struggling to see the difference then there's no hope for you.

It sounds like you're just trying to justify closing the gap between the worst of the worst and some other groups you think are dodgy so that the worst kind seem comparable to the lesser types.

All just so that you can get all excited over being the worst kind of turds play thing.

And the clubs largely still run by friends of his.

End of the day dictators are going to dictate. And rich campaigners are going to be rich campaigners.

I'd prefer neither.

But I'd prefer one of the two with either of city's or Chelsea's records than Brighton's or spurs also run by one of the two.

I don't turn on to watch 90 mins of games to watch random acts of kindness. I watch to see my team score more goals than the other team. Isn't that the whole point?

Also its not exactly like my clubs owners have a good or even semi good track record.

  • first to furlough staff... TICK
  • owner lives in a tax haven... TICK
  • owner steals indigenous land in Patagonia... TICK
  • early adopters of the ESL.... TICK
  • attempt to move the club to East London... TICK
  • only business who opposed the new stadium ends up burnt down... QUESTIONABLE

But we aren't a club who has no skeletons in the closet So yeah I don't really give a shit with "winning the moral right way" like say Liverpool did. The whole point is just to be grateful you have a team to support in any division, enjoy the highs and lows.

Not piss and moan when you're constantly in the top ten of the biggest league in the world and never threatened with relegation or your team going under and folding.
