I come in at about 120 kegs so I don't have to worry about that, however I just wish Ox would use his position in the media positively not by having cheap, divisive pot shots at easy targets.
I loved the bloke as a player, and what he has managed to make of himself post football, despite the difficulties he has faced in life, but his comments were misdirected. This club is screaming out for someone such as the Ox to galvanise the club and repair the fractures, not to make them worse, he could become a rallying point while we navigate a way out of this, but seems to have chosen the opposite direction.
David needs to recognise the influence he wields and look to use it for goodness not evil.

I don't expect the Dees to win 7 games, i don't expect them to win one game... However if Neeld wants to keep his job next year he needs to be given an clear goal... 5 games in the run home which includes games against other struggling clubs such as GWS, Brisbane, St Kilda, WB and GC (who are provably the best of the listed teams) SHOULD be achievable but not too easy... We all want definate inprovements by years end and not just "yay we only lost by 95 points"
Reckon this is fairly spot on. Need a Richmond 2010 improvement in the second half of the year for him to survive.

By no means am I trying to be a smartass here, so dont take it that way, Im just interested in this debate. you DONT expect them to win 1 game, yet in the next sentence you say SHOULD win 5 games - isnt that expectancy??

Also (while I agree that a huge turnaround is required for Neeld to keep his job) - Given the state our list is in at the moment, WHERE are we going to win these 5 games from? We havent even looked close all year bar Tigers game,we have no where near enough depth or talent on the park at the moment to do this, our injured players that return are going to need 3 weeks after returning to be fully adjusted to their normal capacity ... our healthiest list so far is only capable of beating GWS, and as was said before, Gold Coast is definatley no easybeat anymore and would give us a %30 chance of winning at best.

Its the worst thing about supporting a club in the dumps, you hope that things can change quickly.Reality is that we're shyte and a successful year is going to be determined with only minimal results.

given with what Neeld has at the moment and if these are the general thoughts of everyone, Mark wont be able to execute his long term plan from 2014 onwards, he'll be just plain executed :p

The ox has reported to police that he has received death threats this week after his comments on Neeld this week.

Maybe i haven't quite worded it right... What i meant by not expecting to win another game is that i don't think we can approach any games with the "oh their easy beats we got this one in the bag" attitude that we looked at GC with.

By should be able to beat, i meant that they are games that we can go into with hope that "we can beat this team", frankly i wish we could approach every game like that but sadly we are outclassed and outgunned against some teams.
Expecting Neeld to turn theteam around this week and roll the pies is perhaps too big an ask, asking him to deliver 4 or 5 postive results by years end, i don't think thats too much to ask.

If anyone who reads/posts on this site was engaging in that sort of behaviour... PULL YOUR ****ING HEAD IN. Some people, really.

Really? Ahhhh wow. Surely it must be one of the five people that still attend games. Should be easy to find.

tbh we don't even know if it was actually a Dees supporter. Could have been any flog out there up to no good just for a stupid giggle.

I hope they get them all the same though.

He did? We got rid of the worst coach in team history? Awesome!

He wanted us to get smashed. We got smashed. Now what does he expect? What does he think that achieved?

He said he wanted to lose by enough to get the coach fired. It really isn't that complicated.

He said if he could choose between a two point win and an eighty point loss he'd take the loss.

And he was never going to get that with an 80 point loss. Making that statement was utterly stupid. He should want the coach to succeed anyway.
