Talk about cashing in on a current fad.

Unfortunately that's how Ozzy is seen these days. He's not the guy with the successful recording career spanning 33 years, nor is he a pioneer of heavy metal music. He's the old freak on TV, with the crazy family, who swears at his kids.

Thanks Sharon.

Don't bag that show. It is the best show ever and I watch the repeats all the time. I loved it in the episode after he breaks his leg and he is chasing the cat in slow motion down the garden LOL!:D :D :D :D

Sharon has a great business mind and reeping the benefits as it coninues to grow.

And who do you think was one of the main forces that made Ozzy so succesful for 33 years? Sharon that's who. Ozzy also would probably be dead by now if it wasn't for her.

Sharon's still struggling with cancer. :(
Ironically, she may die before Ozzy. :(

Fight on Sharon.

Sharon is a legend!!! She has a filthier mouth than Ozzy i reckon.

If anything the show has probably made Ozzys music career even more sucessful. Before The Osbournes started i had only heard one Ozzy song then once i watched the rest of the show i went out and bought 2 ozzy albums and a black sabbath one and will eventually go buy every single one of their albums. Can't be all that bad for his music career because the shows probably made more ppl want to go out and buy his albums.

Yeah fair enough, Spidey. But what they are buying are the records of a mad guy with a mad family who likes to swear a lot. They are not buying them because of his musical career or his history as a heavy metal musician. I doubt they are even buying them because they like his music. Most of these people probably never knew anything about Ozzy Osbourne before they saw the show. I watched the show a couple of times too and thought it was funny, but I live with an Ozzy fan who is horrified that Ozzy has 'sold out'.

Ozzy hasn't sold out by his own will. He is so seriously under Sharon's thumb, it ain't funny. Ozzy didn't want to do the TV show, but Sharon as his manager pushed it hard. Sharon got him off the drugs and alcohol in the 80s when he flirted with death, so he figures he owes her everything, and she basically controls him.

Then again it's been 12 years since Ozzy put out a decent studio album, so you've gotta think of something to get the public hooked.... swearing a lot on TV sells a lot of CDs and T-shirts to 12 year olds, who will then go and buy the back catalogue...

Great business sense, no doubt, but the fans who made Ozzy the success he was in the 70s, 80s and 90s are quickly losing their respect for what he has become by Sharon's doing.
