Went though a take-away drive-thru, Went to my mates place, Threw shit out of the windows. Ect.

You have to be 18 to get your P's in Victoria right?

I got mine a couple of months ago when I was 16 :) Love driving, haven't gotten into any trouble yet. Hoping to get my own car next year.

P-plater I knew was killed last week being an idiot around his mates. Dont do anything stupid.

Makes you wake up and take notice when something happens to someone you know.

I just got mine today. Only had to do a 90 degree angle park and the 20 minutes was up quicker then i thought. Anyone know what time the illegal street races start tonight?

Are the tests in NSW and QLD or VIC easier then the WA ones? I have failed twice now...I get too damn nervous:(.

my test was 20 mins, b4 i started i was tested on my knowledge of the car features:

indicators, hazard lights, high beam, lights, horn, brakes etc

during my test i was taken through a school zone (40km), a stop sign, give way etc

and finally i had to do one of either: a reverse park, 3-point turn, point-to-point reverse

i was tested on point-to-point, which was reversing like 20 meters from a light pole to a driveway

to finish the test i had to park the car in vicroads

i got my p's over a year ago, im on my greens now
i had to do a hill start, 3 point turn and a reverse park, and drive around for a while. was pretty easy
Green p's test was rediculously easy

Yeah, thats the standard in Vic. I was going to be made to do a reverse parralel park (which I struggle with in my instructors tiny car) but when we approached it someone else was being tested there, so I got to do a 3 point turn. My instructors car is so small I could have done a u-turn instead.

I was involved in an accident 4 days after getting ym license though, which wasn;t my fault, but still very annoying. Someone backing out of their driveway failed to see me approach, and when I realised that they were about to hit me it was too late.

its the same terribly easy test that i did for my normal Ps two years ago. They dont change in fact a auto test is like playing a video game its that crap

Green Ps are useless but for those that just got their licence now will be the time you actually learn to frive with an instructor everythign was easy you actually need to pay attention when you are by yourself.

Got my p's last year only have to have the red p plates up for a year and thats it, no green p's and no plates :) Anyway the naughty thing was I rarely ever had my plates up, was too lazy and hated driving at 80k's an hour  Luckily never got caught so probably not a good idea to do what I did.

What the hell are greens and reds and shit?

I have only known Ls, Ps, and then full. No hippy shit.
Not sure if it applies all around Aus but in Vic, anyone that gets their L's after July 1st has a yellow bar on their L's. This means that they need to be on their P's for 4 yrs instead of 3 and are limited to only 1 passanger. Its something list the first 3 years are on Green P's and the last is on Red. Im not completely sure as im still under the old P's when i get mine.

In SA you know go on to your P1's first for 12 months, then to a hazard perception test and depending on whether you have lost any demerit points etc then you go on to your P2's. You only have to be on those for 6 months and you don't need to display your Ps. Pretty simple in SA..

When was this law brought in?

I'm off mine in exactly a month.
DOesn't really mean much to me. I haven't lost any points or recieved any fines or anything anyway.

When I did my test I was flying through it no worries. I wasn't nervous at all and then I did my 3 point turn got through that fine and then I realised I was home and had my licence in the bag.

Thats when I tightened up and started shitting brickes. It wasn't until I knew that I had to stuff up bad to lose it that I goe nervous and a little over cautions.
