Was fantastic tonight.

With the inclusion of the likes of Barlow and co, we now have the the inside grunt to compliment the pacey outside options in Suban and Hill.

The pressure we applied especially in the forward 50 was fantastic, but it wasnt isolated there, it was all over the park. We hassled the Adelaide side into a fluster, a rabble and that's what pressure can do.

The constant pressures effect is two fold, not only does it slow down the opposition pushing forward, we can then rebound through the likes of Hill, Suban, Ballantyne and Duffield.

Our tackling has never been that good. The challenge now is to take it on the road.

We now have an AFL standard midfield, enough grunt with good outside options. I love watching Hilly laser the ball forward.

Very impressed.

Let's take it into next week, a win against the Bombers could set us up.:thumbsu:

Well done lads.

Best for me Barlow, Sandilands, Mundy, Hill, Duffield, Ballantyne, Pav.

Just to add to that, Broughton continues to show his class in defence we really have done well with our rookie selections of late. :thumbsu:

That's it.

I'll be pretty disappointed if we cant replicate that form on the road, if we cant it can only be put down to mindset.

That type of footy will win more games than not.

Still some room for improvement from some players but the efforts of Ballantyne and Mayne in particular were just outstanding. Frodo was nearly the most important player on the ground just behind Barlow for mine. Sos had a great physical presence as well and made a brilliant debut imo.

Need some improvement from the likes of Pav, Johnno, Ibbo in this department though I would think.

I totally agree, the pressure the guys applied tonight was fantastic to watch.
Silvagni peeled off his man a few times today to apply pressure to the ball carrier...something we hav'nt done enough of in past seasons, his field kicking was a highlight as well as a few sheppards he put on...overall a very impressive debut
