Port Adelaide confirms ruckman Paddy Ryder was involved in an incident with his younger brother and cousin outside an Adelaide nightclub in Hindley Street this morning.

Following the incident Ryder was charged with an assault and hindering police.

He was released on bail by the police to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 15.

Ryder met with club officials this morning to express his disappointment and regret for involving himself in an incident which primarily concerned his brother.

Given this is a police matter, Ryder and the club will not be making any further comment until after the court hearing.

Patty you should know the rules by now.

Threaten to stab women with chopsticks, sleep with all the teenage girls you can find, and take all the drugs you can use can snort. That stuffs fine, boys being boys.

Just don't attack the police, they'll tend to enforce the law when it's their own in danger.

You’d be surprised.
I would agree but I am concerned with the charges laid and the other charges . From the Advertiser

In addition to Ryder’s charges, SA Police confirmed a 22-year-old man from Western Australia was charged with resisting police, and a 23-year-old man from Western Australia was charged with assaulting police.

Ryder was charged with Assault Police , not resisting nor hindering. Says there might be a little more to it.

Ryder's a 23 year old man, is he?

Port Adelaide website: "Following the incident Ryder was charged with an assault and hindering police."
afl.com.au: "PORT Adelaide ruckman Paddy Ryder has been charged with assault following an incident outside an Adelaide nightclub. He has also been charged with hindering police."

But you go ahead and believe News Ltd over actual official sources.

?? The article said 'In Addition''

I know school was hard for you but its there in black and white

By the way the article was written by Port Adelaides official journo

It's also an Adelaidenow article and can therefore be confirmed as bullshit.

He's been charged with assault and with hindering police according to both the PAFC website and the AFL website. Official sources. Not some bloke at the Advertiser who's been given five minutes to clumsily word a story to make it sound as bad for Port as he possibly can to deflect from your club's choke yesterday.
FOOTY star Patrick Ryder has been arrested and charged with assault following an incident outside a nightclub after the grand final.
