In Ryder's case its a matter of how far he has fallen. AA 20 months ago and the premier ruckmen in the comp to now playing in the SANFL.

Chronic Achilles issues and has lost his spring which was his biggest weapon. I really can’t see anyone taking him on especially if they do a thorough medical on him

Spring/centre square ruck work is the only thing he has left. It’s aerobically that he’s cooked.

Good luck to whichever club thinks they will get either 1 year as a first choice ruckman or 2 years of cover out of him. He’s done.

thats my concern.
its not like we're exactly gurus with injury management either.

Would rather guys like Ladhams, Frampton, Nicholls, Cameron, Darcy, etc be looked at.
A couple of these to build some depth (esp if we lose Draper).

Ryder strikes me as the guy you get if your window is now.....ours feels a bit off at the moment

would be a great fit for the bulldogs. we need a ruckman for the short term, someone to see english through the next 2 years. English would still get plenty of games as no. 1 ruck because Ryder gets injured a bunch, and having the extra ruck forward would be huge for the dogs in the short term while we figure out a long term lineup. Also, we definitly have the money for him, im certainly watching that space
