Between 1877 and 1996 Port Adelaide has admitted 33 members to its hall of fame.

That is one member for every 3.6 years.

From 1997-present we have only one, Gavin Wanganeen.

To maintain the same level of reverence if we are to admit more people in 2020 then we can add 5 more people.
  1. Warren Tredrea
  2. Mark Williams
  3. Bruce Weber

Tredders and Mark Williams are obvious. Then it gets tricky after that.

Honestly I think Roger Delaney should be in there. 6 time premiership winner and the best full back of probably the last 50 years in the SANFL. Deserves to be there as much as Tredrea & Williams do. David Brown and Rohan Smith should be considered as well.

Only other player from our AFL era i'd consider outside of Tredders would be Wakelin, due to being a the only other pre AFL SANFL/AFL premiership combo player

Tredders is an obvious.

Kane Cornes would have to be a candidate with 300 Afl games, a premiership, 2 AA and 4 x John Cahill.

Robbie Gray will be there one day as well. Just hope we can get him a premiership.

Gav Wanganeen played in the 1990 SANFL flag. 17 y.o. I think. May have been 16.

Michael Wilson?

Tredders, Williams and Kane are the obvious ones.

Darren Mead 100 games SANFL + 100 games AFL - only player to do so for the club, should be considered. Those SANFL players that have 6, 7 or 8 flags should also be heavily considered as winning all those flags - especially in the 1988-1996 period justified us going to the big league.

I'd love to see Wilbur in there but not sure he will get a gig.

Stephen Clifford for 162 games, 174 goals, 3 premierships and 3 best and fairests (as well as being a legendary larrikin) would have to be under consideration.

Jack's era is well represented compared to Fos'. Not sure if many more will get in unless others from Fos' era are added.

It's interesting to note how few players really straddle the Fos and Jack eras. Bruce Light and Peter Woite would be a couple, probably Paul Marrett another. Russell played 6 years under Fos but many more after that.

What about Darrell Cahill?
