These are some of the things we would need to split up. Some worth not much, some worth quite a bit I would imagine.

------

-A double invitation to a pre-season dinner where you will be ‘linked’ with a Power player for the 2003 Season, who will then join your guests for the remainder of the evening.

- The Opportunity to access your sponsored player for 1 personal appearance during the year for a discounted fee.

- After Match Function Pass which enables you to gain access to the exclusive Sponsors’ and Players’ roped off area upstairs in The Port Club after Home Games where you can meet and discuss the game with your sponsored player

- 1 reserved carpark pass for all 11 Home Games played by the Power at AAMI Stadium.

- 2 exclusive ‘Player Link’ caps for the Season 2003.

- 2 exclusive ‘Player Link’ key rings for Season 2003.

- Sponsor discount card which provides 15% discount on Port Adelaide Football Club merchandise purchased from the “Power Gear Shop” at Alberton.

- 2 tickets to the Club’s 2003 Season Launch Dinner.

- 2 tickets to the Club’s 2003 Best & Fairest presentations.

- 2 tickets to the Presidents Pre-Match function at one (1) Power Home game during Season 2003 (excluding Showdown – upgrade available)

- Each ‘Player Link’ will receive priority access to purchase tickets to functions and special events staged by the Port Adelaide Football Club.

- 2 Season 2003 Full Port Adelaide Football Club memberships.

- You will receive and autographed framed photograph of your sponsored player.

------

Some of these things we could maybe negotiate with the club. I.e. there are 14 of us going in, is there any chance you could give us 14 signed pictures or something like that.

I'm not really into all this arty clarty function stuff so if I somehow managed to scrape the money together I dont even know if I'd want any benefits except for a season ticket.

From that list I don't think you even get a season ticket. It definately includes membership though. Those arty clarty functions that you mention are good value as well. Been to a few with West Adelaide and you always meet someone interesting on your table.

Thank god they have weeded Kinger, Derek Murray and Michael Stevens out of the club. Imagine ditching 2.5K into the kitty only to get those guys.

All this talk of drafting just gave me a new way of getting around the rules.

Get one of your past players to adpot the guy you want before the draft and grab him under the Father/Son rule. Sweet.:D

While on the subject of adopting players.

Why don't we all adopt a player on the list for next year (maybe 2 considering the amount of posters compared to players), pick it out of a hat or something.

Koulagirl would then have a new player, thats if she is staying and not moving to another board. ;)

We can talk up our players during the year, ala Porthos with Adam Kingsley.

It costs no money and could be a bit of fun.

Tell me if it is a stupid idea, hell its boring without no footy!

Instead of a draw (pick the player's name out of a hat), how about a draft? Either pick our names out of a hat to get the order, or go alphabetically (I've been thinking of changing my nic to Aaba).

That way, we'd have some illusion of choice -- sort of like the real draft.

The only problem with the Draft idea is the time it may take to complete. Plus I think it would be better if someone was given a player not of choice, I think we would find out more on the lesser known players and maybe even some dirt! :D

Using GBear as an example (hope she doesn't mind), she hasn't been on this board much since the finals but during the season she contributes lots to the board. If she was to get pick 4 in the draft we might be waiting a while for her selection.

The more people involved the better, my only other problem is going to be trying to work out all the nic name changes of late should I do the 'hat' idea.

Does anyone have a list of posters for this board (port supporters only)?
