pagan................. how long??

I'm not going to apologise for having an opinion, even if you guys think that they are foolish. I have my reasons for not wanting pagan at "my" club. considering 3 years ago we were a chance of playing off in the grannie.................... and now we are where we are.

his simple game plan is not going to work........... as has been shown in recent years. Although if he wasn't so set in his ways and could adapt, and change his strategies..... who knows.

You can post anti Pagan remarks if you want to. Just don't spit the dummy if people don't agree with you and take you to task for it. That's the nature of a forum.

I should qualify this. Spit the dummy if you want to but be careful about making defamatory remarks. All the morons, ********s, tossers etc etc in the world are usually pretty flippant, but there is a line there that shouldn't be crossed. If you have a problem with particular posts, click on report post to a moderator and it will be dealt with.

i'll refrain from that line of accusations............. "not that theres anything wrong with it".......... and try to be a little more accomodating................. now lets argue some more about pagan.............

Yeah I couldn't fathom our fall from grace either. We were a real chance of going a long way in 2001 if Essendon hadn't have tanked that round 22 game against the Tigers and we missed the double chance. Then in 2002 we won 3 games and got the spoon for the first time. What happened?

I tried to use the injury angle for a while and no doubt our injuries were crippling. Ratten, Kouta, Whitnall out for large chunks of the year and SOS had retired. The one thing that I didn't want to hear was how shallow our list was and the fact that we hadn't planned for the future. Under Brittain in 2002 we flooded most of the year and only won 3 lousy games by small margins. We were clearly on a fast decline. Then we got done for rorting the cap under Jack's regime and lost the most valuable draft picks possible. 1 & 2 Goddard and Wells should be in Navy Blue but aren't. To top it off, we should also have someone like Tenace or Sylvia or Ray lining up alongside Andrew Walker right now. Pagan was the cause of none of this, he signed on to a club that had been down one year only, had prime draft picks, took the advice of the football department about which players to keep considering he did not have a real knowledge of our players at that late stage of the year. Collo meanwhile finds that the players are way overpaid and the cap will be broken again, has to negotiate contracts and pay cuts to keep the AFL off us. The players who had been living on massive wages don't like a new coach and new board changing the way things were run and dissention follows. It has been one massive uphill battle for the club. Pagan has offloaded most of the dissenters and brought in players that are hungrier and desperate to revive their careers. We were the longest kicking side last year as Pagan went all out Pagan's Paddock but now the possession rate has increased again and I believe we are no longer the longest kicking side. That to me suggests a fine tuning of the game plan. It certainly wasn't game plan that delivered a 105 point loss last weekend. The players simply did not support each other or do the hard running they had been doing previously. More than likely they showed up expecting a similar result to the West Coast game.

There are signs and although some selection issues bemuse me, I won't jump off the plan on a week to week basis.
