I don't understand how Amir is a better bowler now than before he went to jail. I know he's grown up, body has filled out more, etc., but he also spent years away from competitive cricket. It doesn't make sense.
Is he a better bowler than when he went to jail? He was pretty ****ing good before it.

Well, he's more accurate and economical from what I've seen. Not that he was especially loose or expensive beforehand, but still. The fact that he doesn't appear to have lost any ability is pretty amazing.

Guy like him though has probably always bowled off limited preparation off field and is just all natural ability on it.

I doubt Pakistan has an elite training pathway like the Australian youth do.

The first time around he would have went from park cricket to the national team quite quickly I'd imagine.
