Just hoping its not same pitches as we got, flat but easier to play your strokes on could be interesting with englands new approach, turners be good to watch as well but flat and slow pitches that they had for us making it hard to score quick but very hard to get wickets thats just awful for everybody.

According to the BBC, 14 members of the touring party, including half the squad of 16 players were ordered to rest at the team hotel after an illness swept through the England camp. Discussions have taken place between the England and Pakistan boards about postponing the start of the Rawalpindi test by a day. Nick Hoult from the Telegraph describes this as a worst case scenario.

If the pitches are anything like they were when we toured Pakistan, then I'm backing Pakistan to win this test. England going in with three bowlers scream of a disaster waiting to happen, Leach will be bowling a lot of overs, and who knows how many overs Anderson can bowl now before he's cooked and Robinsons pace dropped off a heap in the Ashes after they'd been fielding a while. Livingstone at 8 is interesting basically playing the role Moeen Ali played except Moeen is a better bowler, and Livingstone is unproven with the bat at this level.

Its not like pakistans bowlers looked likely on those decks either though, i cant see pakistan taking 20 england wickets if they serve up more slow and flat decks not unless england get frustrated and implode.

England have recalled Duckett who last played in Bangladesh and he will open alongside Crawley who whilst he must be the luckiest test cricketer going, did make 96 here last week in the warm-up.

Nice having Gower alongside Hussain in the box. Sky should never have let him go.

Crawley and Duckett flying...the former almost out inside edging past the stumps as I type. Not familiar with a few of the Pakistani side. Foakes out ill so Pope keeps and Jacks debuts.

Very impressive from England. Anyone watching able to provide a report on the pitch? If it's as flat as it was when we played there, it's a smart strategy, but enabled by a flat wicket which is devolving into a bit of a farce.

The Pakistan fans deserve better contests than they're getting at the moment after a 2 decade wait.
