I gather then that you have seen and dismissed the evidence of their nationality that the Government won't allow to be presented??

if these frauds are who they say they are, then why is it so difficult to prove ?? i mean, fair dinkum, there must be someone back in the old village who remembers them and can id them with photos.

lets not forget ch9 sent reporters back to their alleged home village in afghanistan but none knew who they were, but all the leftie bandwagon jumpers have conveniently papered over this crucial fact and elevated these criminals to sainthood and their cause to an article of faith for all genuine leftwingers.

They've had about 20 appeals, which just shows you how ridiculous the system is. They aren't refugees, it has been proven time and time again, in just about every court in the country. Good riddance.

Yes, I'll certainly sleep sounder this Christamas, knowing that a poor family in search of a better life (whether or not they are "genuine" refugees) are sent away. Enjoy your charity Australia.

I hope your sympathy is also for the poor West Chad couple who do the right thing and patiently wait 3-5 years for their migration claims to be processed in the true and proper way without resorting to illegal queuejumping

Well done. You obviously would have no complaints with an open border problem with 10m Chinese a year coming in to the country. Anyone who gets here can stay. That would work.

Labor backs Bakhtiyari verdict
December 20, 2004

LABOR'S immigration spokesman Laurie Ferguson yesterday joined the Howard Government in dismissing the Bakhtiyari family's plight, declaring the asylum-seekers' story lacked "credibility" and they should leave Australia.

Adopting the stance of Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone, Mr Ferguson said the family had had a "reasonable" go and should leave voluntarily.

if that's how you feel then why not throw some of your charity my way.......if it makes you feel better???

after you hand over large wads of cash, you'll go all touchy feely and get a warm inner glow.......honest.

Because there are some charities that would make you feel dirty. I'd rather see the seal clubbers given money before you.

Incidentally when was the last time you handed over large wads of cash.. and no your psychiatrist doesn't count.

Appeals or applications for judicial review? I know that to the non-lawyers there may appear to be no difference but there are significant differences.

Well its quite simple, do you believe in an open border policy or not? Do you not think that millions of Chinese (and other nationalities) would try to come here if that was the case? Its not hysteria its a common sense question based on historical evidence ie all the Chinese trying to get into Hong Kong, boat people, illegal immigration into Europe etc.

Does this answer mean you do believe in an "open door" policy?
