im adopting a high risk strategy from here on in, want my team to be settled ASAP because i want to have a good shot at the eliminator thing as well as my leagues. i realise valenti may not play too many games but im willing to take that risk in order to strengthen my starting lineup. i cannot be stuffed waiting and researching every round later on in the year because i will probably lose interest/im in year 12 so i wont have the time later on.

find it funny how a lot of the people think they're so much better than everyone else though. its only a game get over yourself

Valenti is a gun in the making but sadly he's very similar to Jones and McLean in playing style. Melbourne don't need him quite yet.

Wona is a player we need and who will stay on the senior list for a long time. Perhaps a reason why no one has been promoted for Neitz is because when Grimes comes back they want to keep Wona on the senior list.

So, if Valenti does get a game it will only be a couple for until Neitz comes back (he will come back for a goodbye match). A long way away from an "all year emergency".

and like u i am also in year 12 but as if anyone would research anyway...

its not that big of an issue, i am ranked 56th with 16 trades left so i am

gonna try and go the whole way and know that im not gonna study

I don't reckon he will - he may get the pill 25-30 times - but half of those will be handballs.

he gets a few tackles - but no marks, not a big goal kicker - about the only thing he gets is free kicks

like i said, i realise he wont play too many games. but im certain with all the hype around him will atleast play 3. ive read how he is similar and all that but with the state the demons are in you would have to think he'd get a good go at it sometime. especially if he keeps doing well @ VFL level which is what ive been hearing. ive read a lot of people saying he might even be selected this week and if he can have a good game..well, he's sealed his spot for another couple of games hasnt he?
anyway, if he plays 3 games, it should be enough for him to rise a fair deal in cash and maybe then i can trade him off to the next best rookie player. that is if he doesnt get any more games after that. this way i will still have an EMG for the year.

also, i guess i shouldve mentioned this but id only choose the 'next best 72k player' for houli once valenti was selected. if he isnt for a while then ill choose the next best cheapie who is playing ...ranging anywhere from 72k to 110k i suppose. this will again guarantee an EMG for me...atleast for the short term.

Teams have found out about the kid. A gun and price should go to 260+. But is there a time to offload him maybe when his BE reachers over 80?

I think he is a keeper to be honest - i think you need a good reserve in each position that you can use as a back up in case of injury or suspension.

I am using cale morton as my sell down cash cow and keeping palmer

if he keeps averaging 80 then he is a definite to keep i think, why waste a trade for an extra 5 points when there are surely players in the back and forwards that people have starting who are averaging under palmer.

only time i may trade him is toward the end of the season when i am sure i will have enough trades left to burn a few for quick points

I'm thinking of keeping him because he is outscoring Adcock most weeks and even if he's BE gets to 80 i may save a trade and keep him if he can maintain the form he is in now.
