Can someone remind me again why we didnt draft this kid?

Cotchin is going to have to be d@mn good otherwise it will go down as a terrible recruiting error. I think recruiters complicate things a lot. Palmer dominates against his peers at the Carnival = pretty good chance he will be an out an out star at AFL level (after development time). Yet he is overlooked by us and a few other clubs.

Maybe Cotchin will be better and prove me wrong, but from all accounts, we have likely made another terrible recruiting bungle.

Palmer has been very impressive and on draft day when he fell to us I was punching the air. But it is soooo early, something to discuss in a year or 2 FFS..

Just think, how good Rioli has been, how good Palmer has been, even how good Morton has been...

They are going along as expected, no better than what was predicted.



If Trent plays simply as expected, not even above expectations, then he will clearly be a class ABOVE all of these players.

The success of Rioli and Palmer mean that Trent is even more likely to be a superstar because just a few months ago everyone was saying that Cotchin was easily a class above all these players.

If it makes you sleep easier i have it on a certain football recruiters authority whom i talked to at a mates 40th earlier in the year.

after being introduced and the talk came round to footy, he said " i have three things to say to you Cotchin, cotchin cotchin" now this guy is a smart recruiter a bit like a rat up a Drain pipe, so give the lad a chance he will be special!

If it's Jordy, he's a skinny 24yo with 8 years in him (if he's good enough). I'd agree that it was a terrible trade although I don't think he is too old for us.
