Steed Malbranque has to be the most arrogant tosspot on earth, he wants 60k and a Champions League team, he would be lucky to not be a benchwarmer for us never mind Man Utd and co.

No idea why Newcastle would want Gravesen for. Unless there selling Scott Parker to West Ham :)

James to Pompey doesn't seem to be going away, there is a few hints that Jamo himself is keen on a move back to the soft south (closer to kids etc). Then again rumour after rumour appearing in the press linking players to a 'Arry Redknapp managed side is a fairly common MO (how he and Spurs never got together is beyond me).

Getting £2m for James would be good business financially, but I think that we can't go into the season with Weaver, Hart and Schmeichel as our front line keeping options.

Graveson is a decent player, but I'm not sure either side needs him.

Malbranque turned us down a month ago and we haven't been back in. I don't know why they'd bother to write about it again.

Will it include graphic photography of the vandalism of his house feating the word "c**t" over and over again? That'd be class if it did.

Well lets hope that Everton take up their clause in the contract, and get Graveson back.:)

And how is Kasper Schmikes coming along?

Roberto Ayala has told Valencia that he wants to leave the club as soon as possible.

The Argentine is contracted to Valencia until June 2007, but rumours of a move away from La Mestalla have continued to surface over recent months.

His mind has now been made up after a heated discussion with club president Juan Soler.

Ayala claims that he held talks with Soler about a contract extension earlier in the year, but now the president has changed the terms of their agreement and offered him a worse deal.

"We had talked about the money conditions in May, but now the offer is inferior," he explained.

"This is absolutely disrespectful to me and the best solution is for me to leave."

So far the only club to approach Valencia are Villarreal, but their offer of €3 million (£2.1 million) was deemed too low.

Even if The Yellow Submarines were to increase their bid, Ayala is likely to be reluctant to play for a club not involved in the UEFA Champions League.

SIGN THE MAN, ARSENE.

They have Sergio Ramos though.

Even if he went there they're still behind Barcelona imo.

They still have Salgado.

I hope Real goes with RVN and Ronaldo up front and leaves Robinho out. It'll be hilarious watching that self destruction in motion.

Turtle?

Must be one of them Giant Sea Turtles then. ;)

Gallas looks to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge. Ballack has been given Gallass' old number (13 i think it was) which is a bit of a slap in the face to Gallas.

The question is will Chelsea force Gallas to stay and play int he reserves or will they sell him and recoup some money. One option is to sell him to Arsenal in order to try and get Ashley Cole ?

Will be interesting to see what transpires.

Cole can **** off.

Gallas is one of the three best defenders in the world.

Make it happen.

Developing pretty nicely. Had a couple of stints on loan at lower league teams (Darlington and Bury) and it did him the world of good. I'd expect to see him out on loan again this season, hopefully in the Coke League or the one below (that must be division 1 now I think ???).

Being set up to fight it out with Joe Hart for the no 1 spot in a year or two time.

Wehee, feel like dancing a jig - though shouldn't preempt things, knowing Deadly and his power hungry ways.

Malbranque would be THE best player at West Ham by some way.

agree. he is certainly Chelsea's best defender

Yet they won't play him in his favourite position and that is where the bad blood stems from.

They mentioned on the radio with Senderos missing the start of the season then Gallas would be handy.

Senderos is out till mid-September/early October. Djourou (excellent prospect is young Johan - tall, powerful and quite quick) is probably going to start with Toure if Gallas doesn't come.

If Chelsea lose Gallas, they'd better get their act together and sign a couple of defenders - Terry and Carvalho would their only decent centre-backs, and they haven't got a decent full-back apart from Ferreira, who hasn't really done the business in England yet.

Am I the only one who can't see what's so wrong about Wayne Bridge?
