In your eye lids? You would have stayed awake due to the pain, only if you didn't pass out.The first one was boring,l had to put match sticks in my eye lids to keep me awake.
I guess you don't like movies that build slowly to a grand climax. I thought it scared you just enough to keep you interested and there was indeed a nice payoff at the end.
I will probably wait for this one on DVD but it sounds like it is pretty good.
there was no ticket-checker guy when we went to crown...

I'll give it a shot. Can somebody give me a run down?
How does it tie in with the first?
I just finished seeing it with my sister now. We were the only two in the cinema. It was good, as I hadn't seen the first one and she was able to fill me in on certain events, as she had seen the first one.
So from what she was telling me, the sister (Katie) and her boyfriend were in the first movie. And from what I gathered...
When the husband burnt the photo of a young Katie, that was transferring the spirit/demon from his wife to his sister-in-law, correct?
Then it cut to "three weeks later" where the sisters were sitting next to the pool. Christie had no idea what had happened to her, since that's what apparently happens when you get knocked out... but does that mean that was the first time Katie was at that house since the husband burnt the photo of her as a young girl? Does that mean it wasn't until that day the Demon possessed Katie, seeing as spirits don't leave houses? Then how did she kill Micah if she wasn't possessed at that stage? Or was she?
I asked my sister during the movie if the events of number one happened during the events of the sequel, to which she wasn't able to answer. But it became obvious as it went on that they must take place at the same time (October 8th being after that three-week period.
Shame there's no wikipedia page for PA2.
I had to
Spoiler tags noob.I'll give it a shot.
This family is Katie's sister, but this is 60 days before Katie and Micah's episode, but the final day of the movie is the day Micah was murdered by Katie, so it all ties in there. Also explains why Micah bought the camera, how that burnt photo of Katie came about, and it uncoveres a bit more about their childhood which had alot of problems with demon episodes.
I thought it tied in very well, the ending in particular is chilling and I certainly didn't see it coming.
On a side note, Katie has obviously used some of her earnings from PA1 to invest in some new cans, they were insanely big!
It was no where near as good as the first ones, but the main parts were much more horrific than number 1. Too much waiting, too many nights without anything, then it's explodes at the end.
Leaves a few questions unanswered, I'm feeling there might be a third.
What happened to the daughter?
Saw it Sat night. Was the same concept as the 1st and imo i thought it was pretty good. Hits home a little more in terms of the certain people involved.
Others have mentioned how certain things were left unanswered. My main one i can remember is not finding out what happeened to the dog.
The immature teenagers in the cimema of course made it difficult to watch at times.
Haha I think people left the theatre either wayI was hoping that she'd kill the baby on screen. Make it really dramatic and controversial. That would really mess with people and make them leave the theatre impacted by the movie.

As did the laughing at scary scenes and the girls who whispered throughout the movie. Methinks people were feeling insecure so laughed and talked to counteract that.
I saw this today. Thought it was quite good, much better than the first. It actually made me jump in a few place whereas I didn't find the first scary at all. But that could be because I saw this one at the cinemas, whereas I saw the first one on TV. I always find movies scarier at the cinema.
The only thing that spoiled it were the teenagers sitting in front of me giggling the whole way through. FFS, if you want to laugh go see a comedy.![]()
I agree about movies always feeling scarier at the cinemas probably due to the cinema being dark.
