Off to see it tonight.

I thought the first one was fantastic, so looking forward to this one.

I guess you don't like movies that build slowly to a grand climax. I thought it scared you just enough to keep you interested and there was indeed a nice payoff at the end.

I will probably wait for this one on DVD but it sounds like it is pretty good.

nah l dont mind movie/shows that build out to a climax that's why the wire is my fav show of all time.l just did'nt really like this movie that much l hope this new one is better than the first.

It was no where near as good as the first ones, but the main parts were much more horrific than number 1. Too much waiting, too many nights without anything, then it's explodes at the end.

Leaves a few questions unanswered, I'm feeling there might be a third.

What happened to the daughter?

Can somebody give me a run down?

How does it tie in with the first?
I'll give it a shot.

This family is Katie's sister, but this is 60 days before Katie and Micah's episode, but the final day of the movie is the day Micah was murdered by Katie, so it all ties in there. Also explains why Micah bought the camera, how that burnt photo of Katie came about, and it uncoveres a bit more about their childhood which had alot of problems with demon episodes.

I thought it tied in very well, the ending in particular is chilling and I certainly didn't see it coming.

On a side note, Katie has obviously used some of her earnings from PA1 to invest in some new cans, they were insanely big!

I just finished seeing it with my sister now. We were the only two in the cinema. It was good, as I hadn't seen the first one and she was able to fill me in on certain events, as she had seen the first one.

So from what she was telling me, the sister (Katie) and her boyfriend were in the first movie. And from what I gathered...

When the husband burnt the photo of a young Katie, that was transferring the spirit/demon from his wife to his sister-in-law, correct?

Then it cut to "three weeks later" where the sisters were sitting next to the pool. Christie had no idea what had happened to her, since that's what apparently happens when you get knocked out... but does that mean that was the first time Katie was at that house since the husband burnt the photo of her as a young girl? Does that mean it wasn't until that day the Demon possessed Katie, seeing as spirits don't leave houses? Then how did she kill Micah if she wasn't possessed at that stage? Or was she?

I asked my sister during the movie if the events of number one happened during the events of the sequel, to which she wasn't able to answer. But it became obvious as it went on that they must take place at the same time (October 8th being after that three-week period.

Shame there's no wikipedia page for PA2.

I had to

From what I could gather:

Katie was acting very odd the last time she visited the house, something was definitely up but you didn't reveal it easily, but it must have been it transferring over to Katie. Which lead to her killing Micah and then returning to get Hunter.

I'll give it a shot.

Spoiler tags noob.

There will be a third, IMO. I get the feeling they are going to have a franchise like Saw and bring out a new one every Halloween.

One thing I didn't quite get (remember I haven't seen the first one yet) is:

At the start of the movie when they return home and notice their house has been somewhat ransacked, making it appear as though they had been robbed, I don't understand how this could happen... reason being is they explained that the presence of the Demon becomes greater when it senses fear. How could the Demon ransack the place like that at the beginning of the film when the presence of the Demon wasn't great and no-one in the household sensed fear?

Small things began to happen after that like Hunter crying, Abbey barking, pots falling onto the bench. The ransacking of the place should come after these smaller events took place. Basically, if the Demon was able to create such a mess in the house at the beginning of the film, it realistically should have had the same sort of power to possess Kristie from the start of the movie.

Saw it Sat night. Was the same concept as the 1st and imo i thought it was pretty good. Hits home a little more in terms of the certain people involved.

Others have mentioned how certain things were left unanswered. My main one i can remember is not finding out what happeened to the dog.

The immature teenagers in the cimema of course made it difficult to watch at times.

The dog, Abby, had a massive seizure, but survived. You heard Daniel (the father) saying later in the movie he was going to pick Abby up from the vet, but obviously his movement was slightly hampered later on.

Haha I ****ing lost my shit at that part lewigie.

Movie was okay, but the final scene killed it for me. Some of the scary parts were done quite well, but I still prefer the first one by far.

Characters are better, story was better, scary parts were better, ending was far, far better.

This movie was no where near as good as the first one IMO. The first one had me legitimately scared whereas this one just about had me laughing in a lot of scenes. Maybe I wasn't paying much attention but it seemed like a few things didn't make sense or where just pointless. I wonder if there will be a PA 3?

Horrible audience in the cinema. Thought it'd be empty initially but it filled up with all sorts of ****wits, particularly a group of teenage Lebos (being Lebo myself I felt like smacking each and everyone of them) and a couple other guys with them who wouldn't shut up. Thankfully they left half an hour in but ruined the atmosphere.

As did the laughing at scary scenes and the girls who whispered throughout the movie. Methinks people were feeling insecure so laughed and talked to counteract that.

As to the movie itself, I didn't watch the first so was confused at certain points (wondering who Micah was) but found it pretty decent. Scary at points (particularly the ending) but I intentionally vigilant, guessing at the scares and saving myself some shocks.

I hate horror. Not too bad whilst in the cinema but I could do without freaking myself out in the days to come.

I was hoping that she'd kill the baby on screen. Make it really dramatic and controversial. That would really mess with people and make them leave the theatre impacted by the movie.

There is actually an alternate ending where Katie kills the baby by breaking it's neck right in front of the camera. They deemed it too violent to show in the cinemas so thats why it was replaced with the tamer ending. The audience at my viewing were great, noone was talking crap and everyone was paying full attention to the movie. (The first person to see Katie at the corner of the screen near the end started freaking out, with everyone laughing at her thinking "silly bitch" before noticing katie and subsequently freaking out too :D)

The first one was boring,l had to put match sticks in my eye lids to keep me awake.

First one wasn't great. I'm all for a good 'scary' movie, this just did nothing for me really. Probably was ruined more so by the screaming girls I had sitting behind me. The doors moving, and a bet sheet moves, it's no cause to scream bloody murder.

When I saw the first one, I laughed during the 'scary scenes' more so because of the girls behind me losing their shit at every little movement. The door slightly moved, girl screamed her lungs out. I pissed myself laughing at how ridiculous it was, this went on for most of the movie. I'm expecting much of the same when I see the second.

I saw this today. Thought it was quite good, much better than the first. It actually made me jump in a few place whereas I didn't find the first scary at all. But that could be because I saw this one at the cinemas, whereas I saw the first one on TV. I always find movies scarier at the cinema.

The only thing that spoiled it were the teenagers sitting in front of me giggling the whole way through. FFS, if you want to laugh go see a comedy.

I agree about movies always feeling scarier at the cinemas probably due to the cinema being dark. Im surprised there were still annoying teens in your session since this movie has been showing for a while. A mate saw it the other day during peak time and said there was no one in the cinema due to all the teens watching Harry Potter

I think it's also the sound effects. I saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake at the cinemas a few years ago. I thought it was really scary as the chainsaw sounded really close and loud whereas when I watched it again on DVD it was meh.
