I don't understand how you can do that much top level running over a week and then back up and win a marathon in record time.

I have no concept of this level of competition and recovery needed. At what point does the body give up?

I can’t imagine a more exciting time than those hours between winning the marathon and your gold medal being presented. Must be surreal.
