Hey dudes,

just wondering whether they will charge you to park at West Lakes shopping centre this weekend considering its a night game and the shops would usually be closed.

If so, how much?

The SANFL own that land and car park so yes, youll be charged for parking at Westfield.

Yeah you got to pay the man (SANFL) they will take your carpark money, and your drink money and your food money and will probably ask you how much money you got in your wallet on the way in to be sure they got all of it by the time you leave.

Free parking out the front of Video Ezy behind West Lakes shopping centre, provided you park right out the front of their entrance and flip off the owner

I bought the oval parking 3 weeks ago and it took me 20 minutes to get out after that richmond game. Got a refund and from now on i'm parking in the $12 shopping centre car park. I get out in 2 minutes normally.

Had you ever been to Footy Park before? It's always a nightmare to get out of.
 
back last century (when I was a local) we used to book a table at that chinese joint, park in there, walk over to the game and then stroll on over for a mighty fine feed of MSG and salt afterwards. There was never any issue leaving the car park 3 or 4 hours after the game...

I will be getting smashed, then heading into town this Saturday. Taxi fo sure.

But yeah, you always expect to wait a bit. Just bring a Footy and have a kick while you wait.

Just out of curiosity,

If you pay the SANFL $12 to park in Max Basheer reserve and other areas on land owned by the SANFL, they keep the $12.

If you park at the West Lakes Shopping centre 50% owned by Westfield and 50% by someone else, who gets the $12? Does the SANFL get anything, and if so, how much?

So given our shitty stadium deal, should every Port supporter be encouraged to park at Footy Park areas over the shopping centre car parks??
