Seriously, I know he cops it here (from me too), but Lmacs first two games of 2025 have been very good.
I’ve always thought that as soon as we start winning, Lmac would become a completely different proposition - and Bailey. Of course, as we all know, one swallow doesn’t make a summer. Next Sunday it may well be open season on LMac again.

I don't understand all the positivity. Have people forgotten already that we lost to that same team's seconds in a practice match on a 40 degree morning in February? Thus signalling that we will once again be the worst team in the history of the AFL this year.
Just glad we didn't play their VFL team again. Particularly after last week against the Dogs VFL team.

I think you might have missed the memo

It's a weird feeling on a Monday where I look forward to media articles after a match
We might even get 15 seconds of coverage on the footy shows this evening….

I had a moment heading home from the game yesterday of wondering how all the “everything is still as shit as it could be” posters were going to process it, and quickly realised no supporter could be anything but elated and it doesn’t matter where we all were before yesterday. We’ve been through the absolute wringer as a fan base for so many years, and we’ve argued and carried on in our own ways, but we were completely united in joy and pride yesterday. Winning well does so much for everyone, not just the players.

Melbourne were impacted by the wind tunnel and heatwave.

Trying to spread the blame. Why would you even suggest something off field was affecting Gawn's game and then say you can't say anything about it. YOU JUST DID FFS. You just created the discussion. Really dumb.
Should of just said, yep he’s been the best ruck of the last 10 years, today he lowered his colours to probably the best ruck of the next 5 years.

It is the belief that we can do what we did yesterday and walk away with the W.

Everyone has been processing the down turn in their own ways and probably through a raft of emotions. I had personally hit anger with where we were. the tiredness of having had more faith in the team than they had in themselves had worn me the that point.

Yesterday was different to anything the supporters have seen in such a long time.

We didn't just scrape across the line, weren't in front of 5k people in Hobart in a meaningless dead rubber.

We were in front of a home crowd, playing a side that only just missed beating close to flag favourites last week. And when the game was there to be won we didn't wilt, we leant in and smacked them.

We drove a stake into the ground yesterday. That was the required effort. We won't always win, but it is a much better world to live in where it is a legitimate option on the table rather than some ethereal thing that we could think but not see. We can all see it now.

We play more games like that and we will become and incredibly attractive prospect for better fixturing, better umpiring, better trade targets. We just gotta keep going.

Breath and repeat after me:

This isn't a false dawn again
This isn't a false dawn again
This isn't a false dawn again
This isn't a false dawn again
This isn't a false dawn again
This isn't a false dawn again

Visualise it! realise it!

Yep. I reckon he took one grab right before half time that allowed us to hold our 2 goal lead.
As many have said, just a crazy 180 for Charlie. He was beside himself after Oliver snapped that goal.

To then dish out what he did in the 3rd quarter takes balls.
Kid has guts thats for sure
It’s amazing his capacity to pull those things out when the chips are down, his game against Brisbane in gather round last year was similar and the ball was pinging in and he was cutting shit off left right and centre, it just didn’t help that Daniher and hipwood were still getting the footy.

Awesome win. I told yas I had a good feeling about it. Especially with Picket and May out. Didn’t believe we would chew em up and spit them out, how good? I was thinking in the first Q after missing so many opportunities that it was going to be a typical north game, it was a blessing that godees did the same thing in the second Q, albeit leading at half time by a slim margin.

Not going to complain about any players this week, was one of the best TEAM performances I can remember.

There is one negative.. cut that kanga kanga kanga shit out, its cringe.

Mindset needs to be right going to Adelaide as confidence quickly built can quickly come crumbling down.
