I don't refer to betting agencies to determine what I see with my own eyes...good for you for digging deep to try and create something out of nothing though.
What's February got to do with anything!? lol...
Dont listen to Fsdge about punting. Has a proven record of being shit at it.

Seeing through those hopeful one eyed Carlton supporting eyes?

Pretty confident you won't be predicting both St. Kilda and Carlton to finish above Collingwood once we get into the season...

I really had to spell that out to you?

Well Ive been to most open training sessions and if the team is able to intercept in defence like it has been past five years and midfield is brutal in the contest past six years.... adding, Jagga, Walsh (he is on fire), Elijah Hollands (hardly played a game last season), Hayward and Ainsworth on the outside has turned this team's fortunes forward of center on its head. I have never seen H, Walsh, Cerra, Saad, Williams (off half back), this sharp in 2-3 years

It's hard to know which Blues debut will be more exciting...Smith, Walsh or Hollands.

Certified A graders Hayward and Ainsworth will be the missing pieces.

Saad no longer cooked, Williams reliable, McKay unburdened by Curnow and Cerra damaging with ball in hand - there's magic in the air.

I'm pumped up for Carlton's firestorm 2026!

Did you not notice I used the word ‘could’!?
Looks like you’re the one who needs everything spelled out for you.

Ask him to tell you about the rabbits Lenny ;)

Its a great time if year, seeing the kids coming in, anything seems possible.

We have this redhead kid with a bit of ticker-hes the next Voss! One of the Blues at work said theres a Carlton recruit with a basketball background: Pendles style 400 ganmer incoming!
New side who knows. Like to to live in hope
Thats the spirit!

We have an ageing list but we live in hope. You have had a sea change, reasons to believe.

As a barracker you can make a difference, lift your boys.

Unsurprising you missed the point I was making light of your insanely hypothetical scenarios...
You make the same points 50 times a week over every Carlton thread so yeah maybe he wasn't taking much notice of you.

These are definite pluses, any side would be pleased to have that kind of balance injected into the list

They’ll be unpredictable and tricky to hold down, we’ll be seeing a very different Carlton in 2026

On the medium to long term scale I'm more bullish on the Blues than in 2026, but you're right that with a decent amount of change things could improve. They could also get worse. Carlton are a real unknown heading into this season. I don't think top 6 level, but anywhere 7th-14th is feasible.

McKay has a big job to do and that is to get back to the type of confidence and influence he had when he won a Coleman when Curnow was out - Curnow is a loss but Hayward/Ainstey up forward are better forward options than Motlop and Durdin - it wil be a different mix no one knows how it might gel how soon if ever. So if Hayward and Ainstey are positives the unknowns are Kemp backfrom achilles/ O'Keefe a forward /ruck wiht <20 games f AFL under his belt and?....Moir/Frankie Evans Williams

DOwn back Weitering with flaky McGovern old Haynes draftee Dean ACL and out Farrell doesnt look like a contending mix- but Newman/Florent and a rapidly growing Cowan and perhaps a now feeed up Saad can add some spice to running rebound -

In the midfield Carlton now has some depth and some extra speed and some kicking ability - Cripps is unlikely to play 100% on ball and will no doubt rotate forward - a now fit and flying Walsh will enjoy having a running machine in Smith Hewett/Cerra/E Hollands/ not sluches either...Is Pittonet a tdk no he isnt and Reidy isnt either but they are both honest old school types rucks

It is a fair base to build on..bottom 4-6 as many predict might be a tad low - especially when the angst and theatre of will he wont he TDK and the checked out Curnow and the troubled Silvagni and Docherty are no longer casting ahadows over everyone.

Carlton wont be the easy beats many on BF like to think.

Certainly is a different feeling around the club, like a fresh start has swept through the club

Lots of depth has been brought in, McKay can cut loose, midfield looks more even, team looks a lot more balanced and much less predictable

We’ll be seeing a very different Carlton side this year

Just getting rid of 3 major sookuylalalas in DOcherty/silvagni and Curnow will give the club a lot of fresh air - and to think 3 first rounders plus Hayward/Florent and Aisnsworth....to add to Smith ....and E Hollands and the sneaky litel gun Talor....totally new lineup

Maybe make a 26 and under team for us to have a look at the talent on the carlton list
Both clubs are at different stages of their journeys, and aren’t really compatible at this point

They’ll have different measures on what would constitute a good season.

Blues certainly need more hunger and consistency

Nightmare - Bottom 4
Below expectations - 11th-14th
Pass - 8-10th
Good season - 4th - 7th
Fairytale - top 3

We are coached by the one of the worst match day tacticians currently coaching a team.

I dont expect finals at all and while we have Voss we aint doing a thing. He is a good assistant not a good head coach.
