Consuelo says you have a Diablo persona LiberaceThink Hawthorn are still a top 4 quality side. Backline is one of the best if not the best. Forwardline is high quality and the midfield is good enough despite concerns. The talent is there, will just be how quickly can gel and cohesion come into it.
Brisbane have a gap on the rest of the comp, which is a general consensus.
What do you mean? It was clearly spot on.Shows how good AI is. Dear unsighted - yeah, well he didn't play. English dominating Reeves - at what, given he didn't play either. Barrass not connecting with Battle - sensing a pattern here. I'm amazed it didn't mention that we were missing Peter Hudson
That’s an expectation, but a bit low for a pass mark?Top 8 but nothing more.
No Day is a significant loss.
Newcombe will be burnt out by seasons end.

Yeah because they were amazing 10 years ago... didn't you know!Surely a premiership?
Weve been assured by all and sundry down at dingley that due to #hawthornexceptionalism,#mastercoachmitchell,#AIgameplans#watsonwizardry#connormacdonaldelitemid and so on and so forth their time is now?
Looks like you’re trying out a few guys in there that might be able to move the needle, but that of course robs you of their output in their previous position, so it might be a catch-22 situation.
Worpel and CJ played 20 games each last year and you didn’t replace them with anyone of note, so you’re largely relying on a lot of internal improvement, and not getting many injuries.
You really really really need Day back and firing. Otherwise, you may struggle to emulate last year’s prelim appearance.
We may see Ollie Greeves sooner rather than later. If he keeps having good games at the lower level like the other day it will be a matter of time.Day hasn't been a factor for quite a while. His injury this year isn't a "loss" relative to 2024/25 - His return will be a bonus.
Worpel and CJ had limited benefit in the side, as well. They were probably the two players that fans have been the most frustrated with over the last few years. They are credited with the most unforced errors for quite some time.
The one thing that will need to be replaced is Worpel's grunt at the bottom of the pack. The Hawks need someone who can get deep and dirty or they will give up first possession too often. They can't rely on neat taps and smooth play, because that only happens occasionally. They need a hard man.
Nash has some potential the be a physical presence, but his personality is a bit passive. I'm not too sure who would be next in line for the in and under role. Maybe someone like Moore could take it on, but he would need time to develop.
It's the Hawthorn achilles heel at the moment, I feel...

You mean a pre season game? You should have watched yesterday's game.

Are you including the new wild card games?I'd think getting to the second week of finals is the pass mark.
I think we are ahead of schedule for where we should be anyway.
Are you including the new wild card games?
The window's open. Getting to a prelim and giving a good account of yourself is par.I'd think getting to the second week of finals is the pass mark.

You have been seeing too much negative hyperbole hawks are landing their punches perfectlyHawks keen on thinking its 2013-2015 at the time.
Sadly it isnt.
Got a real aggressive arrogance about them since Ginni came to them.
Fans of the hawks keep on forgetting theres 17 other teams in the comp.
And its not all about you hawthorn.
Must say they are the rudest fans of all rude and clueless.
Thats all
Geniuses take time to develop…You should have watched yesterday's game.
Just ask an Essendon fan about it.Win one final.
That pass mark applies for pretty much every contender.
I can't see how you can deem a season a failure if you win a final.

Midfield exposed today v a lesser strength GWS
Newcombe is elite but has minimal support
Not sure how they challenge
No10th
Finished 8th on the ladder last year. Bulldogs and Sydney for sure have gone passed then
Has this Hawthorn list already peaked?
But they have SammyMy tip for a huge slide.
Their list is thoroughly unimpressive.
12th.
