PapaJ, I think you have made incisive comments on the players you have listed.
Ibbo has sailed under the radar a bit as we're a forgiving lot. Since his return he's been reasonable at getting the ball and disposing of it. However he seems to lose pretty well every one on one contest he's involved in and as you say seems to contribute nothing off the ball. A lot of people thought he was good against the W Dogs but close scrutiny of the tape would leave him extremely embarrassed.
What did you make of Clancee's game? I know it was his first game in a poon's age but he didn't add much to the mix. Was he supposed to be playing on Houli? Houli absolutely killed us. Maybe we'll see Crowls straight back in without him actually doing anything to regain the spot - unless of course he he had a fitness problem last week which led to his omission.
I'd thought Ibbo had turned the corner late last year but he's gone back to his old ways. Between Ibbo and Duffield we have two backmen who can't defend one on one to save their life. They normally offset this by providing heaps of drive from the back half but unfortunately Ibbo was down on this output as well.
Ibbo was training in the preseason to play in the midfield but Suban's injury probably has him stuck in the backline for a while.
Clancee was ok in a game that didn't favour our HFF. He was far from great but did ok when involved - he certainly did more than Crowley has been doing, and did better than JVB did in this game (JVB went back to his mediocre ways).
Ballantyne was on Houli until he went off. Houli must have smelt from then on coz no one went near him.
