The only thing I could possibly hazard a guess to was I had heard (through the normal friend of a friend of a brothers friend who talked to the guy who works at McDonalds type deal) Battersby was a bit of a FIGJAM (part of the reason he slid in the draft too), so maybe Walsh didn't think he'd fit in with that "elite standards" mold that he wants to develop at the club.
