I'm a huge fan but it's a huge gamble picking him for this series. Can't we just get his body right. Top shelf talent who we just might ruin through mismanagement.

Unfortunately the four guys who could've been picked are all under an injury cloud - Patto, bird, ncn and dorff.

I would've picked hilf before Cummins.

Test debut in November 2011. He played two matches for Australia A in July 2013. Sweet **** all.

Cricket Australia has bounced back a lot in there last 18 months but the handling of Cummins is still very questionable. If he breaks down on this tour again then someone needs to lose their job. If his career is done and dusted in his mid to late 20s then it'll be a huge red mark on CA management.

Has everything required to take 300 test wickets but continuously rushing him back to national duty has so far been reckless. His body may come good but it's easy to see shit hitting fan again because he doesn't have the base match fitness required. If he is playing in a test and Australia are forced to field five sessions I can't see him lasting.

I've criticised Siddle a lot and last year was one of the main agitators on this board for him to be dropped for Hazlewood.

But he's just a vastly superior option for test cricket at the moment than Pat Cummins.

I actually trust Siddle to do an okay but not spectacular job at test level if he has to stand in.

I don't even trust Cummins to be able to bowl in both innings.
