N Lappin,Black,Voss bros,Ashcroft all hang your heads in shame..you are all cheats and frauds.I went along with a mate who is a carlton supporter thinking I would see a decent game of footy..didnt give a toss who won..I had to leave at 3/4 time but all I saw was carlton players running straight at the ball and Lions players getting out of the road in a real hurry, never pays to mouth off during the week ie Mattthews and Ashcroft..always comes back to bite you...oh and any carlton supporters thinking you are some flag chance..forget it..Brisbane were just pathetic...it will be a Roos v Bombers GF.

I just got home too. It was shit boring.

How in gods name are North going to get by Melbourne ???? The Dees are the fittest side in the comp, and are more skilled than the Hawks. They also beat North once this year, and the time they lost was by a point, when they had about 10 more scoring shots.

I'd be very, very, very surprised if North got up. North certainly don't deserve to.

As for Carlton-Essendon.......it's the "real" Grand Final. 1 v 2 on the ladder. Unfortunately, it's a preliminary final, but I'm treating it as THE Grand Final, if you know what I mean. it just shows how finals are bullshit, and not an accurate reflection of how good a team is over the year.

Todays game at the MCG could have been a Home and Away match. Finals are just so overrated. Intensity, my ass.

The "Real GRAND FINAL" is not next weeks Ess vs Carl no matter how much you want it to be Dan. Thats a PRELIMANARY final.

The GF is on the week after, regardless of who plays in it or where they finished in the home and away.

For all "intents and purposes", Carl-Ess is the Grand Final. Officially, its not, but "for all intents and purposes" it is. That is the match, which most people believe will decide the champions.

Yes, it's a preliminary final in "name", but Carlton and Essendon will be treating it like a Grand Final.

It is the two best teams in the competitoon. The "actual" Grand final will NOT feaure the two best teams in the competiton.

Perhaps this gives it a lack of credibility. I think it does. A Carlton-Essendon finals match is a higher standard game than a Melbourne-Essendon finals match.

It's frustrating that the Grand Final is being played a week before the "real" Grand Final.

As for the Grand final, how do you know it wont feature the two best teams in the compeition? In case you hadn't noticed, "the competition" also includes finals. If you're not good enough to win them then you aren't one of the "two best teams" regardless of how good your H&A form may have been.
