Don't know what the other Carlton supporters here are on about. He was never getting off. Cripps was careless and shouldn't have done it. Was never a chance once Ah Che was concussed. Take the L and move on.

That there were alternatives doesn't make his action any more illegal.
I felt he had his eyes for the ball and didn't elect to bump. The ball was on track to land on his chest. If Cripps were Caleb Daniel and Ah Chee were Braydan Preuss I don't think we'd be here.
Don't think we'll ever agree. And I expected this decision.

No, just an honest appraisal. Knew it deep down in my bones he wasn't getting off once the player was concussed. I'm sure most of us had the same feeling, let's not sugar coat it.

That’s called duty of care, it’s part and parcel of todays game. Players can’t be concussing others, otherwise it only takes one player to take the game to court.

If this Trent Cotchin incident happened today based on the fact Shiel was concussed then one would presume he would have been suspended & have missed the grand final.
Would the result of the 2017 gf been different?
Who knows.
At least we now know there is a punishment awaiting ALL players of all teams if someone is concussed no matter whether it is accidental or on purpose. Got it!

I think we will need to win a game. The Dogs and Saints losing this weekend would be nice though.
I cant see the dogs winning 2 in a row they have been too inconsistant and saints aint beating brisbane or sydney when they need to beat both

Hope you're right mate. But I think the Dogs are better than you give them credit for and the Saints have just had a tough run but can surprise on their day. Both are at or around our level.

Cripps was very lucky he only got two to start with, trying to appeal it was a joke.
Carlton were desperate i suppose, from being a massive top two chance to a complete laughing stock in four months is very damning on the whole orginisation.
