Cripps has played 6 games and Graham has played 5, Mr Hill. It's essentially the same story for averages on those stats in 2025 anyway.
I’ve noticed that ON AVERAGE you love having the last word in each and every debate on this site, so I’ll leave you to it Mr Mow Mow.

haahahha lotta "awwww i feel weally bad for cwippa" here......he is trash, washed and part of the reason of carlton being trash, he never held himself or the team accountable for losses. always coasted on blaming voss. north melbourne sheezel and wardlaw ripping the ball out of cripps hands and hitting go ahead goals off his turn overs in the 4th quarter last 5 mins to beat carlton few weeks back was a "THE FUTURE IS NOW OLD MAN" moment for old poor cwippa.

Carried the load for a long period of time but the club needs to move past him as captain.

He's always been tough on the field but I don't see him as the type of guy to call his teammates into line. You can't blame him. He walked into the club with Marc Murphy as his captain and throughout his entire tenure the club has struggled for leadership and left too much to too few - which is at pretty much every level: coaches, teammates etc.

There is a culture of individuals being signposted and expected to lift the entire club. Over his time that has been Judd, Murphy, Curnow, Brian Cook and now Graeme Wright is going through the same tribulations early on in his tenure.

Even our gameplan is pretty much built around his ability at the stoppages. When things are at their best he can dominate - but that's clearly not a sustainable way to play and we're crippling ourselves trying to replicate a formula that has never been effective over the course of a season.

The club should be looking to import leadership over the off-season and I'd be having an honest conversation with Cripps about where he wants to be at. His form has declined over the past couple of seasons and he needs to be somewhere he doesn't have the same level of importance. You look at the impact Jack Steele is having at the Dees and maybe he needs to head somewhere unfamiliar and be expected him to perform his role, and no more. His days of being a gamebreaking mid are over.

Doubt he will ever consider it, I just think he's owed a break after a long career putting the team on his back.
Been saying for years we at least owe it to him to ask if he'd like us to try and facilitate a trade to a contender, maybe experience and little success before he hangs it up.

Bloke deserves better than us and a single finals campaign for his career ('24 doesn't count lol).

Whilst it makes alot of sense for Cripps to go back to WA i just cant see Fremantle as an option and how that works with an already very good midfiels. So eagles would be a team that needs him the most andjust works well but Cripps wont see any success there and will be part of the rebuild.

Geelong could be a good option for Cripps

This is a very interesting question...

What would Carlton supporters consider a reasonable trade for Cripps?
Not a carlton supporter but if i was asked i would say for a team in the window a pick around 15-20 but for a rebuilding team has to be around 25

he would still have 3 years in him

Treacy and 3 1st Rnd picks or GTFO.
The sad thing is that you're actually serious...

I saw a Carlton clip this morning where two of their fans were saying if they were to give up Weitering, they'd need a Butters, King or Humphrey in return...

The funny thing is you don't know if I'm serious or not, and if we were to give up Weitering which this thread is not about a King or Humprey would certainly be in the discussion and maybe they were joking about Butters, you wouldn't know.
