There was a rumour today that Collingwood have offered him $750k a year and Eddie has offered him a job in the media after footy where he will earn $1m per year for the same ammount of time he spends at the Pies, ie spends 6 years at Collingwood and he gets a 6 year media deal when he retires.
It has been mentioned plenty of times by PD that he wants to set himself up for life after footy and has an interest in the media.
Sounds far fetched but if anyone has that kind of pull in the media its Eddie

Defensive much? All I said was that maybe Danger doesn't like Adelaide Crows. No one but him and the people close to him would know this.
I suggest you have another look at Beams...
Well, no, that wasn't all you said at all. What you said was that maybe Danger is somehow "like the other players who left" the crows, who supposedly didn't like the club. I can guarantee you that Nathan Bock and Phil Davis both loved their time at the AFC, and only left due to being offered literally double what any of the other 17 clubs (including Adelaide) would have paid them. Tippett certainly wasn't suited to life in Adelaide (the city) - I think that was ultimately what led to him exploring options elsewhere. And Gunston was simply a depressed kid from Melbourne who wanted to be closer to home.

Even if Tippett and Gunston didn't like the club (which could be argued), you could certainly find 2 or 3 players from most clubs who have left in recent years who you could say the same thing about. Ben Jacobs and Troy Chaplin certainly fit that bill at Port. Adelaide cops more press for the players they've lost because the players in question are more talented. It's shit for us to keep losing players that are in our best dozen or so, but there's only so much a footy club can do to prevent players demanding trades when you're dealing with a city with the 'boring at batshit' tag that Adelaide (pretty unfairly) has.

Sounds like a stupid rumour.

As if EM could assure him of any kind of media commitment at that price just on his say so to advantage his own club.

Danger wants finals success.

Cats best years are behind them & they are in rebuild mode with key players retiring over the next 2 years. Danger wants to play finals.

Adelaide have talent in the right age bracket & should play regular finals over the next few years.

Reckon this will be a significant factor in him deciding to stay.

He does own his own production company...
And it doesnt pay the wages of someone like PD.

He's either going to be on Channel 9 or MMM if Eddie was making "offers" like that. So he could never assure anyone another company will pay them 1 milion for x amount of years to work for them.

You need a lesson in tax avoidance mate.

A company that runs at a loss is great for high income earners...

So you're saying Channel 9 is happy to make a loss and give PD a million a year for media commitments on Eddies so say?

I think you need a lesson in reality.

His production company isn't paying the wages of any football pundits on the stations he works for...
Doesn't have to. He can pay Dangerfield "X" amount per year to host game shows produced by McGuire Media that never actually get picked up by the networks.
Then...
Place him on Talkin' Footy which he produces replacing Carey for $650,000 and there's his mill a year.

Simple.

No it's not simple. It's over complicated garbage logic used to justify a stupid rumour.
