Traded Patrick Lipinski traded to Collingwood for Pick #43

Pick 55 or better for Max Lynch gets us back there (if it came to that).

Hawks will trade Ceglar and probably get a late 30's/early 40's pick for him factoring in the 50% salary coverage.

Then the Hawks take that pick and they slide some picks around with the pies for Lynch with the late 30's/early 40's + Hawthorn's 59 & 65 potentially to upgrade points for the pies and the hawks are unlikely to need pick 59/65 once all the trading is done and dusted due to list spots.

We just delisted Brooksby.
McEvoy probably has 1 year left.
Ceglar has a few but Reeves should be our number 1 man next year.
We desperately need a ruck who can rest forward. Lynch would be a solid get.

Sicily is back next season. DGB developing. Frost has a good 3-4 years left. Hartigan a couple. Need ruck help more than a KPD.
Brooksby sucks
McEvoy is still much better than Ceglar
Lewis can play

Sicily isn't a key defender
Hartigan also sucks
Frost is okay but when his pace drops off he'll struggle

Brooskby was our ruck depth. That needs to be replaced.

Lewis isn't a ruckman. A chop out here or there but isn't a legitimate back up.

Sicily can play as a taller defender if absolutely required.

Hartigan had a good year.

Given its rumoured the pies have been into him for a long time, and we're far down the line with him ; I'd suggest pies were the "big" melbourne club into him mentioned in the media back in June.
I dont see how the Pies can be so far down the line & just appoint a coach.

Still wait & see

Have been into him for ages. I imagine that was ramped up in the last month. Had a coach for about 2 weeks now, which probably settled the decision. Lots of excitement around the club atm.

But we'll see in the next couple weeks.

Would it be fair or unfair to say the Doggies reamed the Pies late in last year’s trade period for Treloar? Did they offer unders and Collingwood was forced to accept?
It was a deserved reaming. Treloar was bullied out of the club, whereas Lipinski is wanted at the Dogs. The Pies created that scenario and the Dogs capitalised

Thankfully the Idiots who did this are no Longer at the Club

Yep. Learned from the Stringer negotiation and used it to their advantage.

Well you were desperate to shift him and we were the only suitor so it was a buyers market. You still shifted $600k of cap. It was fair in that the market set the price. You kind of tanked his value yourselves.

‘Fire sale’ was the term used. So what makes the Doggies think the Pies would have to pay overs for a Doggies player who isn’t being played as often as he likes and wants to go elsewhere for more senior opportunities and extend his career?

Who has said anything about overs, are you referencing something? Because I've seen nothing regarding asking price
