Daisy Thomas in 2010 and 2011 showed that scrawny outside types can go as hard as the next bloke if committed on thr occasions its needed. No one asked him to be Luke Ball.
Dale Thomas had better acceleration and agility than Lipinski so he could commit to more contests without getting exposed.

Exactly my point. Pity most posters on here seem to target the poster rather than just acknowledge that others here are entitled to have their say also. Or should I canvas the popular views here before posting so that nobody gets their nose out of joint because my opinion may be different?

If you disagree with me re: Lipinski.... watch the match replay and pause when the ball is contested and in between him and an opponent. He stands there and watches and lets the opposition win the ball. If some of you don't want to acknowledge this major weakness in his game, so be it - that's not my problem.

AFL is a physical game and YES it is a problem when a 190cm bloke refuses to engage physically. It's NOT netball and there are times you HAVE TO GO, when it is your turn, else you let your teammates down.
I for one appreciate others' points of view, especially if they run contradictoray to mine and are well reasoned and well presented. That is how people learn and grow and it is how civilised discourse should be conducted. I agree that Ad Hominan attackes are frustrating but I refuse to engage with those that resort to that. If anyone needs to 'play the man' and not 'play the ball' then they have no argument and their position is flawed.
I appreciate you positing your views and encourage you to continue.

The personal attacks in this case aren't from having a contrarian view (they sometimes are. If you personally attack individual players you and your views get attacked.

It never ceases to amaze me that the posters who go on about toughness, hardness, softness are so often the ones most likely to have a hissy fit and cry victim if their views are attacked.

20 touches at 85% in the wet looks good to me. Missed a few tackles but played his role again
came good towards the end the Wright goal hurt but Lippa used to be among our best before his shoulder injuries maybe reset next week and see how he goes

hasn't he had a bunch of shoulder issues?

he's done them three times while playing for us... I probably wouldn't want to tackle either if I knew my shoulder was likely to pop out

Poor Lippa. That was a huge hit.
But his kicking inside 50 was elite tonight. Its what he does best.
At least there is the bye so he'll only miss the one game.
